The front desk staff was wonderful! We arrived earlier than originally planned and hoped to move our Sound of Music tour earlier; the young lady immediately picked up the phone and had us on the next tour which would pick us up right at the hotel in an hour, which allowed us just enough time to enjoy a terrific lunch at the hotel restaurant! Breakfast (same restaurant) was amazing! |

Staff were extremely helpfull and friendly, location was good as wanted a hotel near to trains and buses. Didn't think it was value for money at all, thought it was more 3 star than 4 star. Air con did not work although we just put up with it and did not complain. Hotel did not have the luxury feel of a 4 star hotel. |

We were in the new annex which was really nice and modern, I had stayed in the main hotel part across the road a couple of months before and I have to say the annex was cheaper and nicer. The parking situation was unfortunate (none available) for us but we were warned that it might not be possible on booking.com website. |

I made reservation at Hotel Annex Der Salzburger Hof but stayed at the room of the main building of Der Sazlburger Hof. It was convenient that I could buy tickets for the city tours and bus at hotel front desk. Our room was faced with the road so it was a little noisy. |

This hotel was extremely noisy with garbage collections very early in the morning. It also had a large sign inside saying all rooms were air-conditioned when the rooms only had a poor fan which did not work properly. The suites were only slightly larger rooms than the standard with no extras. Breakfast was very poor and staff were less than helpful. |

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. The rooms were quite large. It had water kettle, tea, coffe, etc. The bathroom and shower was good, also had had a good hairdryer. Clean. Close to the train station. Our room in the annex was very nice but noisy. However, the staff gave us another room which was very quiet. Not air condition in all rooms and diffcult to control from the room. Maybe time for a general "facelift" of the hotel. Maybe a bit expensive for what It was and much further from the center than we imagined. It's a good 20-25 min walk. But buses stop close-by so not a big problem |
