Haus Schmitten is located in a quiet street, only a few minutes' walk from the Schmittenhöhe Areitbahn gondola. Haus Schmitten offers accommodation for all travellers - We have 5 flats to offer: one studio flat, three 1-bedroom flats (max 4/5 adults) and one two-bedroom flat (max 8). We can accommodate groups up to ~24 people. ****From 15 May to 31 October, our guests at Haus Schmitten receive the Zell am See-Kaprun Sommercard. Haus Schmitten is the perfect place to base yourself to explore all the sights and adventures offered in the Kaprun/Zell am See region. Summer is magical in Kaprun/Zell am See. Spend your days enjoying the mountain vistas on a hike stopping for lunch at one of the many traditional mountain Alms. The region is popular spot for bike riding through the countryside or for the more adventurous exhilarating mountain bike trails await. The pristine Lake Zell is a perfect spot to enjoy sailing and water sports. Sigmund Thun-Gorge, Kaprun High Mountain Reservoirs, Krimml Waterfalls (Europe’s highest waterfall) and the High Alpine Grossglockner Mountain Road are only a short journey from Haus Schmitten. In the winter, Kaprun/Zell am See becomes a world-class ski resort catering to all abilities. For beginners, the ski schools at Schmittenhöhe are world-class. The local resorts of Kitzsteinhorn (100% snow guarantee Oct- early summer), Schmittenhöhe and Familienberg Maiskogel offer over 138km of perfectly groomed pistes. In addition, the Ski Circus at Saalbach/Hinterglemm and the Höchkonig Ski resort at Maria Alm can be reached within 30 minutes by car.
