Only 250 metres away from the nearest ski lift, Gourmethotel Brunnenhof is right next to the ski slope in Lech. It features an award-winning gourmet restaurant.
Score from 39 reviews Good
The location of the hotel was perfect - next to the ski school, the lifts, the free bus stop to Lech and the ski rental store. The Eggler family and staff were just delightful and extremely helpful. The food was out of this world gourmet. We had a nice, quiet room facing the mountain on the 5th floor. Can't wait to book again for next year!
We arrived at the train station and thought there would be taxi's there. Our mobile phone connection didn't work for some reason for about 10 minutes. No one was at the station and it was extremely quiet when we arrived (we arrived on a Friday - Saturdays are the big change over days with lots of skiers). Finally got through to the hotel on the mobile phone and they ordered a taxi for us straight away. But, for 10 min, we didn't know what to do and how we'd get to the hotel. A little troubling. Make sure you have the phone numbers for the hotel/Taxis if you arrive by train.
Everyone was fantastic and could not have been more hospitable. Excellent location. Very cozy, informal and comfortable hotel. Food was good and plentiful at both breakfast and dinner, and a nice wine list, too. Really great place for a week of exceptional skiing.
Parents who make no effort to teach their children how to behave in a hotel around other guests. Not the hotel's fault, though. :-)
Food in restaurant not very good
The staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. the hotel is perfectly set up for skiers. It is almost connected to a ski rental shop with quality ski rentals, they print ski passes for you at the desk and are mere meters from a ski lift. For a very quick ski trip, and my first to Austria, it could not have been made more simple for me. The food was outstanding.
When the hotel is full, it can be quite loud with kids running around the halls as though it is their home. That is in part, the charm of the place, but you have to be prepared for it ... or time it so you are not there at a school holiday if you want to have a lie in.
Service and Food were excellent, Staff very well trained, friendly, good atmosphere
Rooms were rather small
