Sommerhotel Wieden is right next to the Südtiroler Platz subway station. St. Stephen’s Cathedral in central Vienna and many other sights can be reached in a few minutes. All rooms have satellite TV.
Score from 870 reviews Good
Only 220 yards from the Alser Straße subway station, the Hotel Geblergasse offers a quiet location in Vienna's Hernals district. It offers simply furnished rooms and free internet access.

hot water :) free parking in the district
the bed was broken, the drain was clogged (toilette and shower), everything looked neglected I have never been in worse hotel. Our college room looks better and it is more confortable (not a joke).
We chose this hotel mainly because of the low price, but it turned out to be a really good choice, with extremely friendly and helpful staff. They were a life-saver, as we were in quite a rush when we first got there, and they really helped us out. The room was good too. I also enjoyed eating at the attached restaurant. I can't imagine a better value in Vienna.
Check-in/Check-out was a breeze
Extremely poor WiFi
delicious breakfast and food friendly and helpful staff
poor wifi-connection insufficient quality of the room, e.g. the bathroom got wet while showering rather a pension or a hostel
Staff was really helpful and friendly. Tram stop at the door.
Location: not a really nice district and not many things to do.
Everything ... :)
Nothing ... :)
good location with tram just on the street, nice building from outside, price
bit noisy, inside its very old building, very simple furniture
Sweet little hotel. near the center. If you want sekonoit money, then this hotel is perfect.
Nice rooms, close to metro station that takes you to city center.
Friendly stuff, nice room, caffe-pizzeria downstair with reasonable price
Check-in till 20.00, the shower was leaking and very uncomfortable, hard to find a parking place nearby
Clean, fresh, bright rooms. Kind and informative personel
Third floor room location, no elevator. Very high and long flights of steps. Should be mentioned at booking site description of the hotel.
good beds plenty of hot water..good shower space enough massive storage wardrobes privacy most important..very friendly people especially the lady who manages
the floor was not swept every day
Great place for traveller. Place where u can lay your head during your visit of this beautiful city. Hotel is located in mainly Turkish descent part of city above restaurant of same name. However place is clean and safe. i dont have feelings of doubt when i have been walking from subway to hotel (10minuts walk by the way) at midnight. Street is maybe little bit noisy but not as much that you cant sleep. Simply lives. :-)
it is really not fault of Hotel but google maps :-) but there is not good marked where to turn out from main street and you easily miss right way as happened to me. If you ride from highway A23 throught 221 you need to keep far right to drive up the "bridge" and than turn left to Luxemburght strasse. Not to stay left as Google says :-)
The hotel was actually an annex of a restaurant and it did Not even look like a hotel. The bathroom had black fungi and we are afraid to touch the walls of the shower cabin. The sheets looked clean on the surface, but there was black hair when we turned the blanket to sleep even though we were told that the room was cleaned after the last client. The location is not a safe one, it is like the immigrants quartier in Vienna. You can definetely find a better hotel for th same money.
Even though reception closes at 8pm they (a lady) had no problem receiving us at 10pm after we realized we would arrive late at Vienna so that was very much appreciated. The room was very nice and clean and the WiFi was excellent. The location is ok, although since we arrived late to Vienna we did spend like an hour and a half finding the place. There is a restaurant right next to the hotel which I found very good. I would definitively recommend this place.
Bed could be more comfy :)
Slamming doors and the noise of locking, unlocking doors made it impossible to sleep. If you are looking for a silent place without people talking on the phone in corridors during late night and without screaming tv set of the next room, this hotel may not meet your expectations.
I stayed in Arnes Hotel with my mum. It is so new and fairly clean, comfortable hotel. Transportation is so easy to get the most important place and city center. Also we had breakfast in hotel's restaurant and I highly recommend it. I think it was quite cheap and good for breakfast in Wien. And staff was so helpful. They are ready to answer your questions about everything. They also helped us to find good places to travel in city. Prices are really good for this high quality. So I extremely recommend Arnes Hotel if you want to go to Wien. you won't regret it.
The staff was so kind, they tried to help every moment, another thing more important that what seems was the mattres, so comfortable.
The hotel is a little bit far from the center but you have a tram stop in front of the hotel.
The value for the price was very good. Friendly manager. It was a clean and spacious room. Street parking is free. The Strassenbahn (streetcar) stop was directly in front, and there is a bank on the corner. The toilet and shower were separated in our room. Great shower head! The food and service at the restaurant were very good. Wi-Fi worked OK.
The door to the shower stall was narrow and stepped up/down. There was no shelf for toiletries in the shower room. From a decorating standpoint, the room was very plain and walls were bare. The closets did not lock and there were no hangers. Not enough light bulbs for the overhead light. These are just small things that can be easily corrected except for the narrow shower door if you are a large person.
Toilet was clean, but in very bad condition. Corridor to the room is very smoky and extremely strong smell of food in the mornings.
Location of the hotel is good, it's not so far (2 tram stops) away from U1 metro station Reumannplatz. Across it there is a non-stop working market, which is RARE in Vienna. Our room had a balcony, it had comfy beds, nice new bathroom, fridge, sat TV and free wifi. Breakfast in the hotel's restaurant was really good! Also, there are a lot of free parking spots around the hotel, so if you come by car, like we did, chances are that you could park below your window. You have a separate entrance to the "hotel rooms" part of the building, it's like going in to your own flat. So you unlock "building doors", and then unlock and enter your room. And considering all of the above, and the price of it all plus the price of "72 hours of Viena" metro ticket, this was a pretty good deal!
Hallway smell. It smelled like old people... Doesn't pick up in the room, only while in hallway. No real reception desk. I did not have a place to leave my key when I was leaving out.
Room so nice, and clean! Parking free! Good location. Higher than expected!
Friendly personnel. Easy to reach by public transport.
The room was not clean(. Location.
