The worst hotel I have ever stayed!!! When we entered our room, it was very cold, because they left the window open. And the bad news was there was no visible and adjustable heating system. So, the room remained cold till morning. Besides this there was a bad smell in the room coming from the bathroom (most probably that's why the window was open). Then we realized they didn't put a crib for our baby. I went to reception and asked about it. She said "I will try to find something". I told her not 'try to' but 'have to' find one. Then she brought a dirty looking crib without a sheet and linen. And she told me that I need to carry the crib to the room myself! Last but not the least, the so called free wireless internet in the rooms was not working. Reception clerk was not capable of helping in that issue.

The receptionist really needs some customer care courses. We specifically asked for non smoking rooms, but in one room there was a strong cigarette smell. In this room it suposed to sleep a 8 month baby, so we asked for another room, but the receptionist refused. She said that it wasn`t possible to be cigarette smell because there were signs with "no smoking" in the rooms. She didn`t even bother to send someone to check if that is true or not. So, nice hotel / awful receptionist.

Great position - the hotel is just 10 minutes walk from Belvedere, close to the metro, it is new, comfortable and clean. The stuff was nice and helpful, especially the guy at the reception desk and if the girls also smile, it would be perfect. ;) I think the price for the breakfast is really esagerated, 15 euros is simply too much, we saw the breakfast room and it was nothing that special, so we went to the bar near the hotel where we had a great breakfast for less.

The room offered everything we needed: comfortable beds, lack of noise, good lighting, useful chair and desk, a good armchair, curtains for keeping the light out in the morning. The bathroom was furnished with quality equipment (sink, toilet, bathtub, taps), was very clean and well organized. The location of the hotel is good, with a subway station 2-3 minutes away and a walk to city center taking about 20-30 minutes (2-3 subway stops). The breakfast is rather pricy (15EUR/person) and you can have a very good breakfast at any of the numerous cafes and restaurants nearby (we suggest Anker - 2 of them close to the hotel - where you can have a great fresh breakfast pretty cheap). The approach of the reception staff can be abrupt sometimes; this might come from the usual strict (rules abiding) mentality in Austria and from direct (sometimes too direct) communication. However, nothing really negative - just a minor point that they could easily avoid.

The location is convenient - very close to the subway. The first night were given room 1708, which was essentially a room in the attic and did not qualify as a hotel room. To enter the room, we had to take the elevator to the seventh floor, walk up another floor and walk through what looked like a fire escape. Two of the windows in the room were broken and could not close (!!!!), there was no air- conditioning and the ventilation was terrible. We immediately complained, but the person on duty told us that the hotel was fully booked for the night. To our question, if we can change rooms the next day, the hotel employee responded that no rooms were checking out the next day. A lady standing next to us she interrupted the conversation and told us that she was checking out the next day!!!! The whole issue was resolved the next day when we were given a different room.

Good price and location right next to the metro stop. Can also walk in 15mn to the center of Vienna. Neat hotel with cleans rooms and friendly staff. The rooms are not so big but are nicely decorated and clean, the bathroom is nice with a full length bath. We had a room facing the inside garden and it was very quiet. - The breakfast at 15euros is overpriced, breakfast was fine but nothing to write about and definitly not for 15 euros P.P. When we realised that our room did not include breakfast on the second day we went to a little cafe 25 meters from the hotel (cafe Frey) where we got just what we wanted (ham, cheese, boiled egg, orange juice, coffee, jam and lots of bread) for 7 euros!!!

The hotel was in a very good area of Wien, near the center where you can see many shops or visiting museums etc. So the location was excellent for making a city tour by bus, by tram or on foot :) There is a problem with the rooms, especially with "Business Double or Twin Room" that were connected with another room by a door that was inside the main door. Out of this thing you can heard any noise.

The location is quite near to the city center (just 7-12 minutes on metro, whilst the nearest metro station is just 100 meters away from the hotel!) Breakfast was also quite good for such a hotel. Room didn't match the photo. Too less details and widgets. Not a cosy environment. (E.G. just add some candles, matches and other nice stuff, and the room will look much better).

Very close to the subway station that get you to the main square (less tha 2min walking). A/C in the room! Our towels were changed every day and the bathroom has a hairdryer. The room was very comfortable and has a safe-box in the room. The reception works 24h and the staff was always ready to help. The breakfast was expensive and we preferred to have breakfast in the city center, although it seems to be a full breakfast.

No air conditioner is really bad especially in the hot August. It would be better If the staff in front of the check-in desk can answer our questions with smile.

Comfortable, rather big rooms, nice staff, good location (close to the tube station). The breakfast-expensive and unsatisfying. It's better to eat in one of the bakeries.

It was really close to Belvedere, and just a 5 minute walk from subway from where we could reach everything in a few minutes. I liked the tourist map in the room.

It was cheap and the @9.99 breakfasts were excellent. It was also well loc ated for my meeting. The beds weren't very comfortable (hard mattresses). The desk staff seemed not as knowledgeable as I would have expected. The man at the desk on Monday morning didn't know about the €3.60 train to the airport from Rennveg.

“The room was spotless and met all of our requirements. The bathroom was spacious and practical. The room overlooked a four lane carriageway with a railway system within view, but once the windows were shut noise levels were not disruptive. Hotel staff were helpful in all respects.” Ian, Stornoway |
