The view from the infinity pool on the seventh floor was so wonderful!
Having to leave.
Castle room decor very shabby
Staff are very polite Great pool area Nice bar and drinks
The hotel is slightly away from the main town. Perched on a hill it has excellent views of the mountains. Good indoor pool. Free parking.
Breakfast was too expensive.
Kitzbuehel is very nice. As the hotel is in the hill the shuttle service the hotel provides is very useful. There is a nice panoramic view from the infinity pool what is on the top of the building. The sauna with a silent area is also good. The terrace of the restaurant is pleasant. Parking is also available for free of charge next to the hotel.
This is an old hotel and needs to be refurbished to be a 5* one. Forest-view rooms are extremely dark even at daylight when the lights are on. There is no air-conditioning in the room, no ventilation in the bathroom. Front rooms are very noisy because of the big construction. Single beds are provided even in the "double room"; they are unconfortable. Variety and quality of the breakfast is not according to a 5* hotel in the area. Wellness area and No. of sunbeds are very limited (e.g. about 14 sunbeds in the terrace). We were not treated as valued guests.
very nice and clean room, super pool area
I can tell you what I like in this hotel very easy: EVERYTHING
Are you joking? The hotel is real 5 star hotel
The price included a wonderful 5 course gourmet evening meal AND a fantastic breakfast. Brilliant value for money. The swimming pool was amazing - whata view over the valley!
Would have liked a kettle / tea/coffee facilities in room- otherwise -perfect.
We were in a panoramic room for 11 days. What a treat! The room was modern and very comfortable, with the best massage and jet shower we've ever had in a hotel. The windows and view exceeded expectations - over the course of the week we enjoyed the valley vista in glorious afternoon sunshine, early morning mist, thunder storms and almost everything in between (no snow in June). This hotel also delivers on other fronts. The wellness centre on the roof has a fabulous pool with views and a lovely sun terrace and the public agrees are well planned and very comfortable. The restaurant food was well presented and varied, although we would have liked a little more choice for the evening meal.
Everything apart from those in negatives
No air con, bathroom extraction.
The setting, the staff, food, one of a kind pool, decoration, location, everything.
I love this town and hotel ....
Rooms beautifully furnished. Fabulous pool. Very good breakfast buffet.
Fabulous location/views Classic piece of old Austria. Spa/pool looked good, but we arrived too late to try it as town was totally gridlocked due to some crazy mismanagement of roadworks.
Large Room in old tower - everything pretty tired, needs refurb. Style mismatch of new/old wasn't easy on the eye - we have seen similar extensions accomplished more sympathetically. Most public areas seemed too hot - maybe the AC has been switched off for economy. Signage to hotel rather lacking, possibly due to roadworks problem. We were without SatNav on this trip. H/B deal - food OK, not wonderful. One main course was spoilt, where chef sprinkled large salt crystals over the meat. Staff, mainly trainees just ignored protestation. Poor for a 5 star.
Very friendly service, excellent food, great location, brilliant pool.
Slightly business hotel feel however I would without question stay there again.
this is a small piece of paradise in the Austrian Tyrol. No request was considered too small to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The swimming pool has to be seen to be believed and the 6 course meal every night was an unexpected bonus.
I can think of anything
Great hotel, excellent location and very good food
Steep hill to reception but this is being very picky...
The gorgeous view from our room, the friendlyness of the stuff, the immediate service, the wonderful French cuisine, the swimming pool and all the spa services.
Since on few days it was very hot weather, the rooms were very hot and it was a pity we hadn't air conditioner in the room ISO the high cost ( our room eas an expensive one )
This is really a hotel with 2 faces. From the outside the main part of the hotel is ugly and very unappealing as you drive up - we nearly decided to cancel before we checked in. But get through the doors and this is a marvellous place - very high tech and well appointed. There is a fabulous pool and spa area with indoor and outdoor seating, and the whole place has an aura of relaxed refinement. Large car park on-site, with the option to pay for secure, under cover parking if you need it. Free shuttle bus into town.
The staff were slightly off and not overly helpful, both at reception and in the pool area. Restaurant staff were efficient more than friendly. Unfortunately there was building work going on immediately outside our room at the front of the hotel, with lots of noise (which we were not told about before arrival) but this stopped at the weekend. Be aware - the Schloss photos are very misleading - you can hardly see that part of the hotel.
Poor cleanlines in wellnes area
The panoramic view over Kitzbuhel was spectacular from our room and pool. Comfortable walk into town, with a good choice of restaurants. Easy accessibility for walks to Schwarzsee lake and through the meadows and hills. All staff were very helpful.
Our 6th floor room was amazing, however it was very warm due to being under the pool.
The ambience was great, the staff were lovely.
Great room with views over the town. Nice pool and sauna area. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Staff were very friendly.
The bar was expensive and the location was a little out of town although during the day there was a courtesy bus in and out of the center every half hour.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to have a pleasant stay on Kitzbuhel . Breakfast is amazingly good!
Wifi is a bit hit and miss but by no means made or breaked our stay.
