Overall our experience was good - it is close to the old town area and its attractions. Rooms are a reasonable size when compared to Euoropean hotel rooms. The only issue is the parking - there are limited spaces to drop off luggage outside the hotel and the public parking garage is a way in the winter when snowing |

Location very central. Room was a good size. Walking distance to city centre. Rooms clean and well maintained Would have expected hotel to have a bar. Would have also liked to have had tea/coffee making facilities in room. Would not book this hotel again for this reason. |

I like everything this hotel has to offer. A warm reception upon arrival. The lounge area where you can sit and have a coffee or cool drink and read the newspaper. The location is perfect. I walked from the railway station and it is a few minutes to the old city or Mirabelle gardens. |

Friendly staff, very helpful with good English. Very close to all important places ,restaurants and shopping . The furniture is pretty old and squeaky and the room facing the streets are very very noisy .( I had to upgrade to higher tariff to get better room not facing the street) Internet did not give me this option. |

the room is very nicely laid out for my famil of 3. the drink corner is superb, one does not really need the minibar in the room. the reception is knowledgeable, polite and helpful. the location is superb, just in front of Mirabell Garden and easily accessing the old town. it is also easily accessed by public transport as it is only 3 bus stops away from central train station. |

The hotel is a little dated but in excellent, spotlessly clean condition. Our room was large by any standard and the bathroom was a good size with a good shower. The free juices, water, and coffee in the lounge near reception was a great extra. The bakery at the corner near the hotel was handy and great value for breakfast. It's a five minute walk to the old town from the hotel and indeed a quick walk to anything on the tourist to do list. With a car, side trips to places like Monsee and Linz are quick, easy and fun. The only draw back is that the weather was unexpectedly warm during our stay (mid to high 20s celcius) and, with no air conditioning, the room was stuffy at night even though we left the window open. We would not stay there during the warmer months without an air conditioned room. |

The location of this hotel was excellent. The staff were reasonably friendly and efficient. The room and bathroom were spacious and excellent for the amount we paid. The charge for brakfast was a bit steep. We were unlucky to be given a room opposite a lift and it was very noisy through the front door. Otherwise the rooms were quite quiet. |

Friendly and helpful reception, complimentary fruit juices, coffee and tea at lounge, spacious room and left luggage facility. No air-conditioning but bearable since our trip was in September. Also our room was near the traffic junction and without air-conditioning, we were awaken by the early traffic stopping and going at the traffic lights. |

Hotel was close to the main train station and to the old town of Salzburg. Free internet access on the computer in the hotel lobby. The free juice bar was a nice feature. The bathroom was spacious and well lit. The room size was a bit small, but acceptable. |

Austrotel was in a perfect location. Across the street from Mirabell Gardens, 3-10 walk to all major attractions such as the cathedrals, Mozart's residence, the river, the historic core, the fortress, restaurants, etc. About a 15 minute straight walk to the train station. As for the rooms, our room was on the top floor, good size, very clean, comfortable bedding, large closet, bathroom was fine, view of the mountains. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of options in the breakfast room - well worth the price. We appreciated the pc in the lobby with internet access as well as the lounge - great to unwind and read the newspaper with a coffee after a day of site seeing. Overall we were quite pleased with this property! |

Overall an outstanding hotel for the price we paid, which was around 75 Euros per night. Note that the walk in rate was 210 Euros per night, so book ahead! The lobby had free tea, coffee, fruit juice, water and an internet terminal. Free wireless was also available in the rooms. Very clean, excellent location opposite the Mirabell Palace and Gardens. The room was very quiet, despite facing onto the road. Breakfast was also very good, though a little expensive at 13 Euros a head. Overall, an excellent hotel, highly recommended. Like most hotels in Europe, we had to leave our key with reception on the way out. This isn't very good security, but most other hotels will do this too. We did have a safe in the room, which made up for this a bit. |
