Our well-furnished and comfortable hotel and our hospitality offer ideal conditions for a relaxed holiday or successful business trip. Due to our central position on the main road between Hallein (3 km) and Salzburg (10 km to the city and 20 minutes by car to the fair ground at Salzburg), you can easily reach all sights and the Salzburg ski resorts. If you prefer travelling without car, the bus stop is right in front of the house to go to Salzburg and to take part in the sound of music tour.

Maximum capacity of total guests in a room is 4.

Hotel information

For all of you who are cycling. The Tauern Cycle Path leads directly past our hotel, which is therefore ideally situated for a rest in our large guest-garden. Our total water supply is invigorated by the technology of Grander. Relax in our Kneipp facilities.
Children will love our adventure playground with enough space to romp around in.
On the property we also have a very beautiful camping site, which is open in summer as well as in winter. The site is flat and 1.25 acres large.
We can book for you concerts and the Sound of Music Tour.

Food & beverage

Enjoy a candlelight dinner for two or celebrate with friends and relatives.
In addition, you will also find the ideal surroundings for a successful business meeting.
The restaurant is open for you daily except Tuesdays.
Our hotel is renowned for its outstanding cooking, typical for a local inn, as well as for its fish and grill specialties.
Salzburger Nockerl are a famous regional dessert and an absolute must.
Half-board includes a three-course menu with a choice of main dish.

Room information

The rooms are tastefully furnished, and some have a balcony. You have a wide choice from single rooms to rooms for the entire family. Ask also for our new serviced apartments that combine your home with the services of a hotel.

For a visit to Salzburg we can recommend either the 24- or the 48-hour Salzburg Card which also includes free single admission to all the city's attractions and a discount for the famous Sound of music tour.
Let us take you back 2000 years and experience the Salzwelten, the world of salt, at Bad Dürrnberg and the life of the Celts in the Celtic village. Visit the Celtic Museum at Hallein with its exhibits showing excavations and archaeological findings.

Experience the time of Franz-Xaver-Gruber, a teacher at Hallein, who wrote the music to the world famous carol "Silent Night" at the Silent Night Museum in Hallein.

In Winter: Unlike most other ski areas, you don't need to book for a whole week - in Hallein you are just as welcome if you stay only for the weekend.

The location was handy for visiting relatives living in Hallein. Hotel Auwirt is located right on the main buss line. We were able to go to Salzburg and Hallein to spend time viewing the sights and then return without worry about parking or maintaining a schedule. The Reiter family was very accommdating. We rented one of the new apartments, which was well appointed and very comfortable.

The lobby, bar, and resturant were closed after 11:00, or after all of the guests had checked out. Access and information were not available until after 16:00 when new guests were checking in.

The warmth of the environment, owners attitude, approach and friendliness, good command of English, advice about travel and tours in the environs and many other little things. Excellent food...

The towels were rather worn out - too many washings. Using softenner could perhaps help, but would recommend replacing with new ones.
