Very good and reliable staff! One of the best beds you can find in hotels and amazing facilities
- Location. Really Excellent. The underground metro (U-Bahn), Tram, Bus everything very close by. If you choose, you may even walk to the Innere Stadt. - Very helpful staff. - Very warm and comfortable. Feel Temperature dropped to as low as -14°C during our trip, but the room was very comfortable.
- Room was a little bit Small. - Since they serve breakfast, the room was literally not equipped even moderately if you want to have something on your own. (However, they tried to help and provide us with whatever we asked for, so this is OK.)
Location, very clean, nice rooms and all you need for a short stay. I went on Christmas time and it was very cozy to be there: warm, nice attention.
The view from the room was fantastic, stores, café-s, restaurants are nearby.
The double bed was comfortable but they were put together of two separate single beds with wheels mounted on them so they could split away easily.
The staff. At my arrival, the room wasn't ready but I was offered tea and cake while I waited by the gentleman at the reception. He was friendly and helpful (something not always easy to find in Vienna)
WiFi is working in some rooms, although it is advertised only at reception. In 107 was WiFi OK. Friendly, nice receptionists. Good price.
Definitely it is not the 4 star hotel in the US or UK standards. Just two floors in an old office building have been changed to the 'hotel'. No chance to stop your car on the street to check in! Park at Votivparkgarage (5 minutes walking across the square, next to the university) and bring your ticket to the hotel. You will pay only €19 instead of the full daily rate €38. Noisy street is disturbing although there are three-plate-windows. Do not forget to bring your ear plugs! Reception desk is not available at night, but you can wake up attendant at room 105.
Location, kind staff, facilities, value for money, close to public transportation and popular destinations for visitors
-Barely anything to complain about, the only issue I can think of would be a smoky smell upon entry into the building.
friendliness & helpfulness of staff location
some rooms facing the mainstreet may be too noisy for sensitive travelers
Great staff, very friendly and informative. Hotel is very well located. Walking distance of town center. Very close to the subway station. Room was clean. Very satisfied of my stay at this hotel.
very good location, near the subway and the stuffs are nice. and the room is comfortable.
inside the apartment there is no lift
very good location, near the subway, also you can walk to the city center within 30 minutes. The stuffs are nice. and the room is comfortable.very safe place to stay.
there is the lift to the apartment but as the apartment have second floor inside and no lift. It will be a little tired to carry the big case.
- Bathroom is realy terrible - Rooms are too small, even for a pension - Lack of minibar and the safe didn't work. - I was charged 50 euros for 30 min late check out
+ for: staff, location, price vs quality.
- for: outdated bathrooms, thin and not isolated room walls.
This is how a hotel jn Viena should look and feel like. You feel like you've been a guest at a nobel family's house.
Our room had the door and a thin wall in the breakfast area so we couldnt sleep anymore when theystarted to serve breakfast becouse of all the noise.
Bathroom is realy terrible....
Hotel Pension Baron am Schottentor has an amazing price/value, but most of the rooms are too small, even for a pension, with barely the space to get on/off the bed. We skipped the hotel breakfast as it is possible to have a great one in the many student cafés in the neighborhood.
Absence of the receptionist during nights, and the shared building, sometimes the main entrance door doesn't open easily.
I arrived at 10pm, door were closed, no one reacted on doorbell ringing. Instruction said call this number, but my phone was completely drawn... What to do in strange city?
Very good location and I really had a good service from Vitaly he mad it very friendly and he was very nice with good smile Especial thanks for him
There were no elevator inside I had to left
The Staff were exceptionally gracious and helpful, providing me maps and advice for visiting Vienna. They also printed a paper for me gratis. I will stay there again when I return to Vienna.
Value for money, close to tram and metro station
Nice personnel, overall great service.
Lack of minibar and the safe didn't work.
Location, staff, spacious.
Breakfast was limited for a 4 star hotel.
The staff The location - good
