This modern, quietly located 3-star hotel is part of the Wals Trade Centre and is just off the A1 highway and only half a mile from Salzburg Airport.
Score from 573 reviews Very good
family room large enough, testy breakfast, quiet location, but close to highway, friendly staff
Everything is old, especially the bathroom and carpet in the room.
Good room, excellent breakfast. Sylvia was very welcoming and attentive to our needs. Would definitely stay again.
Awesome hotel. They upgraded us to an apartment which was really great. Staff very friendly and speaks English. Good breakfast. Conveniently located with a very nice restaurant that is open late in the evening. Will definitely recommend.
I would recommend staying away from this hotel unless you ran out of choice. We arrived some time around 8:30 pm. After we checked in, we tried to find the reception to get some glass cups, but they have left. I called the reception's mobile number left in the elevator, was only told that the reception was closed after 9pm, and if I needed some help, I should talk to the guy at the bowling club in the hotel. The guy at the bowling club, however, had no interests in helping hotel guests. He said that if I wanted cups, I had to buy something. A bit later we found that our sink was blocked, but nobody was reachable for help. Halfway through my shower, the shower gel ran out. The room had only two half rolls of toilet paper. The hotel was worn out, with lots of temporary fixes here and there. Sound isolation was bad. And the terrace was connected with all the rooms on one side, making it unsafe and uncomfortable.
All very well, breakfast is super, staff very helpful
The location was good as it was about 15/20 mins outside Salzberg. There is a bus stop literally outside the hotel to take you straight in.
The restaurant was ok but there is an Italian attached to the hotel which is great but it is smoking indoors as is the bar and bowling alley which is advertised. We had kids and had.no intention of sitting inside amongst smokers the decor is dated. The lift is something.out of the dark ages. You can actually see the wall moving up the floors as there is no divider. all in all I think it is overpriced despite being fairly close to Salzberg.
Excellent hotel, located in a green and very quiet area. Breakfast every morning was perfect for us. The staff spoke great English. The room had a really large balcony. Parking is also free and large enough. We will stay there again for sure.
Room was clean, nice terrase.
Finishing toalet paper, low signal WiFi.
Nice, fresh and large bathroom. Very good breakfast with lots of choices, in a nice fresh dining room. The italian restaurant on the ground floor is very good and has a nice cosy feeling. We stayed there the whole evening.
This hotel is old and worn, but still nice. One of our closet doors actually fell off! And so did parts of the extra bed. No biggie, but still...
The breakfast buffet was awesome! The owners were very nice and helpful. Patricia was the best!!! )
The rooms that we had were dated. The Wifi didn't work to good in our room. Nice patio but no furniture.
Located near the highway Good access to the town (by a car) Nice restaurant and good meal
A friendly receptionist very helpful good English. tried hard to help and to find solutions Good breakfast. Good location. Friendly staff.
NO E/C. Window do not open only a door to the sharing balcony.
We had a spacious room, the balcony was facing the mountains. It is easy to access Salzburg. The hotel has a good restaurant and abar. The staff is nice. Overall it is a good value for money.
The reception worked in an amateur way. They weren't available in the afternoon and evening ( we got the key from a cleaning lady). When the hotel runs full, there is not enough parking place in the yard.
Comfortable beds and reasonable breakfast.
Noisy, smell of cigarettes, inaccessible for wheelchair user, dirty, old towels, blipping smoke detector and dark. Generally extremely poor experience, expensive and glad to be on our way.
very pleasant and very helpful staff good buffet breakfast clean and spacious room pizzeria restaurant in the basement with reasonable prices free wifi 12 min to the centre by public bus
hard to ventilate the room
Good value for the money for Salzburg. I must admit that we have got what we paid for and expected. We even stayed 1 day longer then we initially expected (but that was because of Salzburg and not because of the hotel:-). If you need relativity cheap accommodation in Salzburg and don’t have a lot of expectations this is a place for you. The staff was very friendly and keen to help, but didn’t speak English very well. Breakfast was solid (good enough for me) but nothing else. Transport to Salzburg is very simple by bus from the hotel, if you are with car you can use P&R Messe.
Shared balcony with other apartments, so we decided not to fully open our balcony door during the nights, which resulted in very hot room. So I don’t recommend going there during hot summer time. There were enormous amount of mosquitoes in the room every night. We had a room with 3 children beds which I would not recommend for older children, because 2 beds are on a very small sofa (I wouldn’t reserve that room once again).
It was a little out from the city so we had amazing scenery! The staff was friendly, breakfast was good, near a few restaurants. Room was great!
Elevator didn't always work
The staff was all very friendly and helpful, accommodating to our needs. The breakfast was very good, offering a good variety of options - this is an important feature for us.
Although it is advertised that internet wi-fi is available, it was slow and disconnected often making it quite frustrating to use. This also is an important feature for us and causes me to rate this hotel a bit lower.
The rooms are spacious and clean. The bar is run by an Indian Mr.Sidhu with interesting stories. On weekends the bus to city center is every 20 min so plan your day well in advance.
A little far from the hbf.
Good continental breakfast
No wifi in the rooms.
No Air Con
This was a super little guest house - well-run, friendly, kind and helpful. Salzburg just 20 minutes on the bus and bus stop just outside - great!
Internet access free in the lobby (public laptop). Free parking, big room with 7 beds.
6 km to the city center, breakfast very basic. Nobody at the reception between 14 - 17 o'clock, that was informed beforehand but our plannes changed and couldn't check in before 5 pm.
