Very, very beautiful enterior. Good breakfast in a lovely dining room. It is very lovely hotel with a nice colection of antiquites and works of art. Big room in retro style. We recommend this hotel to all. Instead the fact that we thought that we will have a free parking space for all day, they said that we must leave parking earlier.. |

Our late check in was handled easily and efficiently. The welcome we recieved was warm and informative - a map was given to us on arrival. The breakfast buffet was tasty and there was much choice, although it ended too early (9.30am). I like a lay-in on holiday! I also liked the fact that the water remained hot throughout my shower! It is also very close to the bus stop for the airport, it was lovely not having to carry heavy bags that far. Two very minor issues. Our room wasn't as pretty as the room in the promotional material. The skirting boards were shabby, and the curtains dated and it detracted from the otherwise lovely room with it's carefully chosen traditional style furniture and paintings. I also didn't like the fact that although we had booked a double room (the double bed was very comfortable) we were supplied with two single duvets, this happened in all the other places we stayed in Austria and Slovenia although too so maybe this is common practice. |

The room was really spacious. Beds were comfortable and bed linen nice quality. The bathroom was huge which is great for a family. With such a large bathroom it would be better to have a separate shower unit. In a family situation there is always more than one person in the bathroom! The toilet was next to the bath and when somebody showered, the water sprayed over the toilet. |

The hotel is very nice. The best thing is its location near the center of salzburgo (10 minutes walking) is the principal thing for what I recommend it; this way you can leave the car in the free parking of the hotel and don't worry about it. The breakfast is enough good, changed, and the personnel helps you. we reserved a superior double room:it would be better that the bath had curtain to have a shower more comfortably without wetting all the bathroom. in the room there's no make tea and coffee facilities |

The staff were really nice and helpful. The room was comfortable and quiet. Unlimited free WIFI in room. The location was some distance away from the main attractions for those without a car. Few restaurants and no supermarket nearby. |

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a two night stay during a recent trip through Europe. Of all the hotels we stayed at during this trip, this hotel was one that will always stand out as being exceptional. For a "budget" hotel this one has class! The proprietor was most gracious and a real gentleman. The hotel has been recently refurbished in a most tasteful and classy manner. There is attention to small details that help to set an awesome atmosphere from the classical music sofly playing on arrival at the reception area to the art prints and floral arrangements on display. There is a pleasant sitting room complete with library and the room we had was spacious and attractively furnished. The breakfast was outstanding as well. |

Conveniently located near to city centre, just 10 min walking from Mirabell Palace. A number of good restaurants nearby. The room was stuffy as it was summer and there was no air-conditioning or fan. They could have placed a dressing table in the room as it was big enough instead of 3 big arm chairs and a coffee table. The Big Bathroom did not have hooks or towel racks near the shower. No Coffee or tea making facilities. No Ironing allowed in the rooms. |

Really enjoyed our stay at the Bergland. It was situated in a nice part of town just a 10 minute walk along quiet streets from the bustle of the city centre (although there are also restaurants nearby). The family room we had was clean and comfortable, my daughter was particularly impressed by the large flat-screen TV! The bathroom we had was also large and spotlessly clean. The continental breakfast was excellent and the small terrace at the back of the hotel was a nice spot to have a beer before heading into town. There is also an excellent park next-door for the kids to play in. I am hoping to return to Salzburg in the near future and would not hesitate to stay at the hotel agian. |
