The hotel itself was fine. It was clean and comfortable and provided a great base for snow sports being right besiide the main ski lifts in centre of the village. We had a suite and single room. The suite was sizeable though most of it was the bathroom which was huge having a bath and separate shower cubicle with enough room in between to have a party. The double bedroom was spacious with plenty of hanging space and a tv and was very very comfortable. The main living area was reasonable in size with a wood burning area There is a kitchenette in one corner with a hob top but no oven , a refrigerator and dishwasher. The decor we were told is typically Austrian ( a lot of handpainted furniture) The hotel is well organised for winter activities with ski in ski out and a lift to all floors right outside the boot roomThe parking facilities beneath the hotel are great again with easy access to the lift from the garage ( no getting wet carrying luggage). The hotel has a breakfast room which is sunny and an array of items were available for breakfast. Staff were very accommodating and keen to please without being over the top.Only one member of the staff team spoke any English (the lady owner)who was very good However even the staff who had no English were very helpful with us Brits who have no German.language. I would recommend this hotel for a nice snow sport break. We arrived at lunchtime on 21st April and were able to snowboard until 4pm when the whole reort ground to halt and closed. It was the end of the season but the hotel didnot inform us of this at the time of booking. Having researched St. Anton we believed that the season ended in May. For anyone who knows this area, it is very much a ski resort with nothing much else to offer. The area closed down at 4pm on the day of arrival. The shops closed the cafes closed the whole area was full of trucks taking away equipment and even taking the wooden balconies down from nearby hotels presumably to restore and repair for the summer time. The ski lift outside of our windows ground to a halt and we seemed to be the only visitors around the village. Amongst the workmen and staff clearing away the winter activities and preparing for the next season. We had to travel fourty minutes each way to Eschgl to find a resort which was open until May. We paid a lot of money for this hotel and travelled especially to the resort breaking our holiday in Germany as we knew of the resorts reputation. Although this hotel is perfect fo winter activities in its location etc. It was an expensive experience for us and the hotel of little use to visitors at the end of the season. If the hotel had warned us of the seasons end date I would have been more impresssed. Instead I very much feel it was a huge mistake and wouldn't use the hotel again.

Great staff Wonderful building Fantastic Apple Mac entertainment system Great breakfast The best location in the whole of St. Anton No bathroom in the room I had. It was advertised this way and the hallway bathroom and spa are just around the corner but it's still a negative point for me.

Incredibly helpful and attentive owner took care of all our needs. We booked a double room and found ourselves in a beautiful suite of rooms at no extra cost! Secure underground parking in an amazing historic building. Close to great restaurants and shops as well as the ski lift and all the amenities. Really a little bit of paradise and a shame we were only passing through! The deal we got was amazing and there isn't anything negative to say about this lovely family run hotel.

The position , right next to the mountainside and close to town, the quaint and lovely decorations, characterful design, well equipped suites , freindly staff. Breakfast was excellent too. When we arrived , there was no-one to welcome us so our start was rather chaotic, but this was more than made up by the owner when she arrived and the room that we stayed in . When we arrived there was no-one to welcome us , so the start was rather chaotic but this was more than made up by the warmth of the owner when she met us and by the lovely room in which we stayed

It was a lovely hotel. The town is very busy during the winter months so I gather this hotel would be perfect as it is near the center of everything. The breakfast was delightful and the coffee was good. Really just a lovely stay.

This lovely 'schloss' is positioned right next to the ski lift with views of the mountain - making it an ideal location for a ski holiday. This hotel has a lovely balance between old world authentic Austrian charm and modern luxury. Breakfast is enjoyed in a charming room with a large range of traditional delicacies. Our room was big, with a separate lounge/TV area and a large bathroom. The decorations, though old world traditional, were tasteful. We went out of season, so the hotel and resort were quiet, but we loved our stay and can imagine that an in- season stay would offer all you would want from a ski holiday. Our room was up 3 flights of stairs and the hotel staff watched us lug our suitcases all the way up. At the top we discovered that there was a lift which was not offered to us. The lift is not obvious as it is 'concealed' behind traditional painted doors and does not look like a lift.

Absolutely fantastic hotel. Oozing with character but luxurious and modern at the same time. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a full suite which was just magnificent. The sitting room (with it's own log fire) was bigger for the 2 of us than the 4* Supertravel chalet that sleeps 22!!!! So much effort made with the beautiful Easter decorations in the dining room and a fabulous breakfast. It has boot warmers and ski lockers as you would expect and is literally a few steps from the main lifts. I could not fault this hotel at all and I hope we will be going back many times.
