Built in 1896, this elegant hotel is very popular because of its excellent location only 5 minutes walk from the State Opera House, the Ringstraße and the Underground Station.

Situated in a quiet side street, Vienna’s famous shopping promenades are in convenient reach from the hotel.

The rooms were very nice. The breakfast was good with a good assortment.
The location of the hotel was farther than what we would have wanted but
was in a quiet area. Everything was closed when we would leave mid-
morning and come back late at night which made finding bottled water
close to the hotel difficult, a general problem in Vienna anyway.

The air conditioning was preset by the hotel and we could not control
it. Warm during the day and very cold at night. We asked for a quiet
room in our reservations and were given a room right outside the
elevator and stairway, upon returning to the hotel after a few days in
Prague. We were told it was the only room and that we could be sent to
another hotel.

(1) Despite my earlier request I wasn't provided an early check in. (2)They haven't changed the sheets at all although I stayed there for 3 nights. (3) There was only one bottle of hair shampoo and nothing else in the bathroom. (4) The towel they left in the room the second day was with stains on it.
