Hotel Maximilian is in the heart of Innsbruck’s Old Town, next to a pedestrian zone. It features free Wi-Fi and provides rooms with a flat-screen TV. The Golden Roof is just a 3-minute walk away.
Score from 1460 reviews Wonderful
This guesthouse offers a very quiet location directly on the Inn River, only about a 20-minute walk away from the centre of Innsbruck.

Set on a quiet side street of Innsbruck, this family-run hotel has a beautiful view of the nearby mountains and is within walking distance of the center of the city.
Score from 1089 reviews Good
Great location near main train station. Had everything for self catering and 10 min walk to town.
When we arrived there was no office open. We could not find anyone to aissits us concernquencly we were left with young children on the street with no accommodation. We had to find alternate accommodation in the dark not knowing the city.
So closed to main station. Nice view. Good bed. Good kitchen and furniture.
The room smelt smoke. The coffee and snack machine is dirty.
It's good only if you are masochist. Or if you want to accommodate like 10 people in single room as there's nobody to check it.
We were shocked to be in this place. We couldn't find the entrance for a long time till we saw small note with hotel name in dark square. Its some office building, where they placed rooms. I went to call the ring on the door while my husband was waiting in car. No one replied so I entered the door to search for reception, which wasnt there, nobody was there. All was full of drunk people, some lying on the floor. There was no light so my shoe got to vomit on the floor, which was everywhere. Some druck people started fighting so my husband left car to protect me. It took two minutes but policy charged us for leaving the car on street for 21 Euro. After we called to receptions (we paid for calling for international call but its ok), the taxi driver arrived in dirty clothes and unfriendly. He showed us dirty room, smelly, without toilet paper, dirty towels. We wanted to cancel our booking. But this taxi driver said that it is too late and it is not his mistake that we booked it. He was laughing about us, honestly. After that he asked for 10 euro for late check in. After we said that we paid 180 for two nights and 21 more for bad parking and we will leave hotel after one night as it is impossible to stay in these conditions more than one night, he through to bed pillow and covers (as he had to bring them from some where), said dirty words towards us and loudly closed door without any explanation of how to use door code or anything else). We left hotel next morning with headache of cigarette and alcohol smell, which was everywhere in building. We paid for one night of disaster 182,00 euro. + 21,00 euro
no parking, no wi-fi, gambling houses on the street, the building is awful
no internet, no services, so noisy we couldn't sleep
Very good location, right next to the train station and only a short walk from the city centre. The room was clean.
Edgy surroundings and staff, smell of cold smoke, heating didn't go off, had to sleep with open windows at night (therefore: very noisy). Why edgy? The elevator has the blue light that is supposed to keep junkies away (you know it from public washrooms) - that describes it all. The room was ok as far as cleanliness is concerned but not the building. All on all, it's clearly not worth the price. Would prefer to pay more next time and stay in a hotel.
Late check-in was possible and when we arrived the contact person was there in 5 min to give the keys and kindly showing everything. Nice view from the window, however it is better to close windows at night - a bit noisy in the morning because of the transport. All in all great place for a short stay.
Would be also great to have a parking there.
facilities are great, location is nice
no wifi, a little difficult to find
Location, room, kitchen facility
No working staff as its is boarding guest , no wifi
Downstairs is a 24 hour Internet cafe and a betting centre
It was very close to the station and easy to walk around the old town. Also very cheap for one night in between catching trains. Probably good for male backpackers. Fridge and basic hot plates provided. Someone did come and replace the T.V. which was broken.
Had to phone caretaker and wait outside a betting shop. Complicated system of security codes, though doors seemed to stay open. No staff on sight. Bit unnerving at night for solo female traveller!!
Very convenient location next to the Central Railway Station to travel
Strong cigarette smoke in the Hall of 1 (E) floor which spreading to upper floors.
the view, quiet, clean, I didn´t see any staff, so I cannot say anything.
it smelled very strong from cold smoke. the first night I slept very bad because of this smell. I used almost all my perfume not to smell it. Day and night I had the window open.
Closeness to city centre and railway station. Walking distance to everywhere. Room cleaning was good. Helpful personel. Good kitchinette.
Bad smell in the whole house and in the room. Cigarette smoke. Personel did not speak english. No madrass cover (sheet) on the beds. Scary to enter the apartement from the street, people hanging abound the entrance. Buses and trains and people made a noise during the night. Hard to sleep. Dont know where to access internet.
Noisy , cleanness and security
Location was good for people who prefer public transport. Just 5 mins walk to the train station and other public transport.
Room was not ready when we reached. Got the room cleaned only by 3 pm. There is no WI-FI, no lights in the lobby. The room was really very small compared to what was shown in the Booking.com website. The Furniture was quite old. Not a good option for people coming by their own Car because public parking at near by parking slots is very costly (17-18 Euros for 24 hrs.).
It was clean...sort of...
No wi-fi. Very unsavoury men were hanging around the front door to the building most of the time...AND they knew the code to get into the building. There is no key, only a code system that didn't work for us and we had to call (thank heavens I'd topped up my phone credit earlier!!) at midnight and wait for the security man to come to let us in. The place stank of the many guests who had smoked in the room. The hall smelled even worse. Not possible to get fresh air to relieve the smell because the street outside was very noisy all night. The shower was broken and I had to hold the lever down throughout. Given all this it was extremely expensive...I would have thought it was more like a doss house and should have been correspondingly cheap. Keep away if you're a single woman traveller...I kept our suitcases against the door all night because I didn't feel safe.
Nearly Innsbruck HBF, shops & restaurangs.
No Air Con. No WIFI. Noise from the corridore and from Aeroplanes. We had Window open all night because the room was hot.
Clean, Mattresses were not that bad.
Charged us 10 euro late fee. No reception, we had to call the number while waiting out side to get in. We had to wait for a taxi driver to come open the door. We asked to pay in cash but the charged the credit card before we arrived. Taxi driver stopped to yell at some other guests before showing us the room. In the morning we were waiting outside the hotel to be picked up and we were not allowed to stay in front of the hotel. They had a sign saying no camping.
