The Brunnwirt is a traditional, family-run hotel in the small village of Weißbriach, only a 10-minute drive from the Weißensee lake and a 15-minute drive from Lake Pressegg.

Most of Hotel Brunnwirt’s spacious rooms have a balcony. Mineral water is available free of charge in the rooms.

The restaurant serves traditional Carinthian cuisine with many products from the hotel’s own farm. Barbecue parties are organized regularly.

In summer the nearby Carnic and Gailtal Alps feature many hiking and mountain bike trails. Guided hikes with a picnic are organized regularly. Bicycles are available for guests’ use free of charge. Guests of Hotel Brunnwirt enjoy free admission to the nearby public outdoor pool.

In winter Weißbriach’s family ski area is only 1000 ft away. The Nassfeld ski area is a 15-minute drive away

Aad Solo traveler Kaag, Netherlands February 8, 2012	Ik koos voor Brunnwirt om de beschikbaarheid: ik wilde schaatsen op de Weissensee en vond dichterbij geen locatie. Het hotel presteerde bovenverwachting. De accommodatie is uitstekend, het personeel uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam, net als het management. De 1-persoonskamer was uitstekend en de kamerbrigade werkte dagelijks voortreffelijk. Ik koos voor halfpension en de kaart daarvoor bood voor ieder wat wils. Het daarbij aangeboden saladebuffet liet niets te wensen over. Het ontbijtbuffet was voortreffelijk, zowel kwantitatief als kwalitatief en de ochtendcrew was opgewekt, vriendelijk en behulpzaam, ook toen er een toertocht werd gereden en de groep schaatsers wel erg vroeg aan tafel wenste te gaan. Hoewel anders vermeld, wordt internet gratis aangeboden. De bar bood Oostenrijkse gezelligheid en dat gaat veelal gepaard met (luide) zang en muziek. Er waren echter rustiger alternatieven voorhanden. Ik heb zelf niets ter zake te melden en heb dat van medegasten evenmin vernomen. Did you find this review helpful?	9.2

Solo traveler Nieuwleusen, Netherlands February 5, 2012	I..v.m. de schaatactiviteit, zeer flexibel in het serveren van het ontbijt, 5.30 uur 's morgens was geen probleem Heel jammer dat de kamer geen bad had, na een tocht schaatsen is een warm bad heerlijk. Ook het water was niet altijd warm als er veel mensen in de sauna waren geweest of hadden gedouched. Dus op tijd douchen, helaas anders was er geen warm water meer.
