Only a 10-minute walk from the Opera and the lively Naschmarkt Quarter, this hotel occupies a historic 18th-century building. It offers a free internet station and a rich buffet breakfast.
Score from 1952 reviews Very good
Good location, great little apartment. Plenty of room for two young travelers.
Don't dare ask the staff for directions or any other typical tourist information. It's like they hate their jobs and they take it out on the guests. Extremely unprofessional, extremely.
- Excellent location (10 minute walk from centre) - Outstanding Wifi - Very quiet
- Shower was so/so
Good location, nice, cozy and decent premices, elevator - super :) The street in which hotel is located is quit small/narrow and calm.
Some reconstruction in neigbourhood (for late leaver/long sleeper might be a problem - but only temproary issue).
Great location. Spacious room, comfortable bed, lots of storage and very warm. Kitchen had large size fridge, washing machine and even dishwasher.
Everything is excellent.
The hotel location is superb. Right a few blocks from the city center, in a safe, clean and good neighborhood. The building is old but well kept. Friendly staff
Breakfast could be improved.. It bothered me the fact that ordered a taxi for 4:45 am to take me to the airport. I went to the reception twice to make sure we were ok with that. When I went down at 4: 40am, there was a note about my request but no taxi and the clerk had to call one for me, so I was a bit late, and I had to wait outside for the taxi. Luckily I didn't miss my flight.
The location and the staff
Nothing to mention
We were surprised to have a two bedroom apartment for the price. Although the kitchen was not large if one were staying for a few days it may be nice to have facility. The hotel is close to Naschmarkt so we bought take away food late and brought back to our apartment to eat which was nice as we were all very tired. We loved the art deco aspects of the lobby. Wi Fi was not great except in the smaller room. Breakfast was super good value with varied offerings. We only stayed one night but would definately return.
Wi fi was bit sketchy in most parts of the apartment. The smallest bedroom had best connection so the 3 of us went in there. We didn't mind really as it was just another quirky sort of funny experience on our travels.
Large room, with fully equipped kitchen. English speaking staff. Free detailed city map.
No bed sheets. No bidet, wc separated from the bathroom, which is very small and claustrophobic.
We had a 4-bed appartment, which is, as others, situated in a separate building. Very quiet roads, the most necessary facilities for preparing food, beds were fine, fast help at problems (one morning warm water was off). Nice area and close to the inner city, continental breakfast was fine for us,
nothing important to mention
An excellent price for such a location in Vienna. Comfortable except for a couple of things
A couple of thing did not work properly: the shower's drain was blocked. I managed to take a shower anyway. Space for the knees was to short on the toilet so I had to sit askew. For the rest it was comfortable and for the price I could not complain
The receptionist on our arrival and for most of our 2-day stay, Mr. Mark, was the sweetest person we have met in hotels for many many months : kind, smiling, extremely helpful, respectful, devoted.
The receptionist on our last evening, Mr. Ernst, was one of the most despicable characters we have ever met : arrogant and lazy. Asking him about the directions to a walking distance restaurant, he replied twice : you have the map, you can find your way on it !!!!
Stayed one night in the hotel and 3 nights in an apartment. The apartment was a great value. The room was also good but as you would expect much smaller than the apartment. Breakfast was great.
size and style of appartment was fantastic, , breakfast was great great location
bed was very hard!
The bath room shower was really comfortable
There were loud construction in and near the hotel which starts in the early morning. We found it was very disturbing for sleep and this happened every morning in the whole week. When we talked to the reception about this issue, the reception lady (45 to 50 ish, with a pair of glassses) was extremely rude, telling us that it was not the hotel's business that other people have the right to do construction, and there is nothing the hotel can do about it. So we suffered from tiredness and bad sleep during our whole stay.
Poor parking availability.
GYM BREAKFAST RECEPTION STAFF
Everything was up to my expectations
Some of the self catering apartments need checking for repairs
Staff professional, good range of choice for breakfast.
The bedding. The mattress had stains and holes and there wasn't a mattress protector.Pillows were stained and doona was old and yellow. Covers were clean.
I loved the vintage lift. Price of room wine bar reasonable.
Two comfortable chairs would be appreciated.
location, peaceful environment and the possibility to cook and warm up some food
a)washing the disches could be included, a kitchen towel as well, peeople usually do not travel with basic kitchen equipment for washing the dishes. b) put a lable next to the lift that "downwards" the keys are NOT to be used for calling the lift
Good location for most sites in Vienna. Comfortable room with kettle to make hot drinks. Very quiet at night. Bright and clean bathroom.
Breakfast room got very warm.
