Staff were very helpful They lend us their umbrella the whole day as it was raining and the shops were shut, very nice!'' Location also very central and great value for money. Good wholesome breakfast provided as well. I will definitely stay here again

The receptionist upgraded us to another room as we had booked 2 non- refundable rooms instead of 1 by mistake.

Efficiency and helpfulness of staff, the fairly central position in Vienna. An attractive building. Our family had an apartment which was very clean, comfortable and had a well equipped kitchenette, with a washing machine. The breakfast was plentiful..

Clients need to be told when rooms are at the building around the corner. With rain is not good.

The location is 15 minute walk to Opera.

The facilities of the apartment is too old and some of the interior of the room like the floor, the window, the door and the curtain is dirty and not in a good condition.

Service was excellent. Mark, at the desk, went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. He was friendly and efficient, booking concert tickets, excursions and an airport taxi as required. He answered our many questions even though he was clearly busy with other guests. The hotel is very close to markets and a short stroll into the main town of Vienna; a 10 min walk to the Ring. Breakfast was excellent for the price paid; our room, though small, was comfortable and clean. The bed was excellent.

If we are honest, the Carlton Opera's décor is old and tired....a bit of a spruce up would do it wonders, but this in no way detracts from our overall excellent stay.

Food was good and well staffed. Enjoyed the free wifi. Also, they were only two blocks from the market so we enjoyed dinner and a great jazz group in the evenings.

Europe has been cold, but it seems they turn off the heat so we have been very cold in our room. Some hotels will give you a portable heater to help warm things up a bit. Also, finding out how to get to the hotel was tough.. They weren't very helpful in getting to the sites. Since we were only there a short time, more English maps, or brochures would have been a big help. Tv stations were mostly in German or French with only one English station - cnn. With satellite available, we didn't find the choices very accommodating.

Really appreciated the helpful staff. The room was comfortable, even on the 6th floor. Breakfast was excellent. And the hotel was so close to the centre of Vienna and the sights. Would definitely stay there again.

Need better pillows - they were too soft, and an extra pillow for each guest would have made it easier to sleep.

Single rooms can be a nightmare in older hotels but my room was spacious and nicely furnished. It faced the inner courtyard and was very quiet, even had a little balcony. I was on the top floor and loved the views of the courtyard and surrounding roofs from my two windows.I liked the general old-style atmosphere of the hotel, with the antique-seeming elevator.

The breakfast was good, with plenty of choices and a Nescafé coffee machine that made any kind of coffee you wanted, but I found the basement atmosphere of the breakfast room a little oppressive. One thing I missed in the bathroom - as in many other hotels - was a place to put my toiletries bag.

Breakfast is too orinary.

We booked an apartment for 3 grown-ups, including breakfast. It was a simple apartment, but very spacious and a lot of place to store clothes etc. It is located close to the Naschmarkt, where there are a lot of good, cheap restaurants

The breakfast was not very tasty: the bread was at least two days old, terrible cheese, no fresh fruit or juice.
