Nice room, free parking, not far from public transport, friendly staff
Very big room, actually it was like a suite, very clean, confortable bed. The breakfast was quite ok. Quite location. We have appreciate very much the free parking exsctly in the front of the hotel.
We only disliked the fact that the toilet was separate from bathroom, and the real issue of this was the fact that after uding toilet must go in the bathroom to wash hands because the toilet hasn't a sink
Friendly, helpful staff. I arrived very late at night and they had left the key for me. Nice breakfast. Room was spacious. Within walking distance of Schonbrunn palace. From Meidling station catch bus 15A to near hotel. An old fashioned hotel, but comfortable and cheap for what you got.
All ok. The location is a bit out of the way, except for Schonbrunn. However, it's an easy underground trip to the centre of town. I didn't have time to use the Wi Fi, so I'm not sure if this was readily avaiable.
Casa d'oro is a smart hotel near Schönbrunn and whenever we travel to Vienna we stay at this hotel. The staff always fullfills our extra wishes as far it is possible. We recommend to book this hotel.
The comfy beds and spacious bedrooms. Staff polite and helpful.
The fact it had no elevator coming from the fourth floor gets hard. P Parking is a disaster even though it has a designated parking area you cannot seem to find parking after 6pm. And lastly I have still not received my deposit money nearly after a whole month. They have been holding onto circa $580 AUD without reason... Not happy!
for payment of only 75 EUR I got free parking lot, delicious breakfast for 2, 50 m2 apartment. This is really reasonable price for Vienna. I will defenitely come back.
lack of English language at reception
- Kind Staff - Few minutes to Schönbrunn Palace - Good connection to city center
- Pubic hairs in shower! - Poorly breakfast - Broken radiator in december
big suite, very good internet connection, helpful staff at the reception desk
you need to go to different building (outside) for breakfast, there is no lift however you will have hotel's staff support with the luggage, poor breakfast buffet, at 9am very little has left.
Very clean, very quiet, breakfast was adequate
Not enough pillows(only one per bed), for those from the U.S.- no washcloths, description says that soaps/ shampoos provided...this means a dispenser next to sink and one in shower- no conditioner, no lotion, no separate bottles, one female staff was unhelpful and somewhat rude and gave erroneous information regarding parking
very nice staff. good location - close to the station meidling (10 minutes walk). In future once again beats in the city want to stay in the same hotel.
noisy neighbors on one of the nights.
Good breakfast, free wifi, close to Schonbrunn, spacious room, good parking right in front of the hotel
The room was a little bit cold.
Big comfy beds and size of rooms. Bathroom nice
Broken furniture. Lights not working. Lack of privacy in shower room. No 'luxury' shampoos etc as advertised. No dressing gown or slippers provided as advertised. No restaurant. What could have been a real treat with a luxury feel was let down by the corners being cut and a 'cheap' feel
We got free upgrade to business suite. Location is walking distance (5min) from the train station and 10-15min from Schonbrunn. Food was good, area is very quiet so perfect for relaxing retreat.
Good breakfast. We got a very big room. Very friendly staff.
Bed was very comfortable Reasonable wi fi Big room
No Staff at check in Very difficult circular staircase for luggage, no assistance and no lift. I booked a room with a bath and there was no plug! Very annoying I had to ask for it. Floor was dirty and no slippers provided No toiletries just a soap dispenser fixed to the wall When my room was serviced my towels were not replaced! I had to ask for replacement Service and cleanliness a real let down for the price No restaurants nearby just very dirty takeaway shops It was not value for money or rated correctly I would not recommend this hotel or stay again.
Everything was perfect, especially the kindness and the helpful of the owner and the staff.
Can't really comment on the wifi as we never requested to use it. Top hotel very reasonably priced for how nice it is.
Close to public transport, free parking, nice owners, good breakfast, big room, wi-fi was ok.
No lift - and we were on 4th floor! Pictures on booking.com are misleading, the room we were promised and room we got were so different I thought we were in the wrong hotel! I was glad we only booked for one night. It was really cold in the room, bed was made for one person, there was one towel, and minibar had some empty bottles inside (?!)
Our room had 2 rooms (bedroom + living room with sofa), perfect breakfast, quiet place
A little cold in November - heating was not on.
Would highly recommend
I have used booking.com for a number of years and this is the first negative review I have had to do - very disappointed.
We did not get the 2 x superior double rooms that I had booked over 6 mths before our arrival. These rooms were also confirmed a few weeks before we arrived. Upon our arrival we were railroaded into sharing a suite with our friends. Despite our displeasure we were told that if we spent the first night inconvenienced we would have our own rooms for the next 2 nights. This did not eventuate, despite their promises. Obviously they were looking after their regular customers. I would not recommend this hotel!
Good location for my overnight stay. Walked to Schonbrunn. Upgraded to fifth-floor suite as my designated room was being worked on. Decent breakfast.
Strange entry through courtyard. Reception in breakfast room was manned by uninterested boy. No lift to my upper room but staff member hauled my bag up for me. Four stars very optimistic.
Close to train station - 6-8 Euro taxi ride. We arrived at midnight on train from Venice and our check-in card to fill out and room key was at the unoccupied reception desk. This was no problem. Big room, great bed, good TV selection, didn't use the Wi-Fi. Included breakfast was simple but good and there are lots of eating places in the area. Great shopping district for anything you want, about 500 meters from hotel. Pharmacy, electronics store if you forgot your converter, high end shops and lots of places for coffee, beer and eats. A good hotel for a reasonable cost and would stay there again.
No elevator so 45 stairs up a winding stairway to room on 3rd floor with very heavy luggage was a challenge!
liked the comfort of the bed, cleanliness of room, good WiFi
close to castle and meidling train station but a bit far from center of town. Might stay closer in next time
Value for Money Location was good, very close to the palace.
1. Breakfast was average. 2. No Welcome, the owner lady is very rude. 3. Only 1 Toilet in the 2 Bedroom Apartment.
