Castle Saalhof is situated in Maishofen, 2 km from Lake Zell. All accommodations are set in this historic castle. Vaulted ceilings and unique wooden panelings create a unique atmosphere. All rooms and apartments are equipped with a flat-screen satellite TV, free Wi-Fi and a sofa bed. Apartments provide a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area and a dishwasher. They come with a bathroom with a hairdryer. A children’s playground is available in the garden. Sunloungers are provided on the sun terrace where guests can enjoy panoramic views of Hohe Tauern and Grossglockner. Barbecue facilities can be used by guests. This over 1000-year old castle is located within a 10-minute drive from Saalbach-Hinterglemm ski area and 5 minutes from the famous Kitzsteinhorn. A free ski shuttle bus stops right outside the castle. During summer guests can enjoy the proximity to Lake Zell or explore one of the various hiking trails throughout the area. Easy to find, close to ski bus, pretty village. Very clean, good beds. At first glance not quite my taste in decor and no balcony - but it is a castle. Huge TV with all the channels although we only looked at Schmitten. Well equipped kitchen with nice crockery and fast dishwasher. Very friendly to children with lots for them to do.

Easy parking, close to Capron mountains, friendly environment and classic furniture. The lovely kids of the owner :) Matresses should be firm. Religious symbols are every where in the house. I advise them to remove them from the rooms at least.

We requested a apartment change because the one we selected had a special smell due to the wood that covered the main room. We did not know that the special and famous wood would affect our eyes and throat. The hostess allow us to change to a smaller but nicer and more modern apartment. The hostess was not available at the time we arrived to the castle, so we had to wait to speak with her about the room change. Instead of paying for a day in the bigger apartment and for the rest of the days in the smaller one, we had to pay as if we had stayed all the days in the bigger apartment. The booking information did not warn about the special smell of that wood covering the apartment.

I love the apprtment ..the room was clean, nice and as shown online...the staff were friebdly and very helfull the deal like a family..for sure i will come again to same place.the location was exl. الشقة رائعه ونظيفة وذات طراز قديم وغريب.. اصحاب المكان رائعون ومتعاونون..الطبيعة جميله تحيط موقع السكن.قريبه جدا من زيلامسي (لابد تكون لديك سياره) يعني بالسيارة اقل عن 5 دقائق...انصح وبشدة زيارة المكان .راح تدعولي..(انصح حجز غرفة لثلاثة اشخاص كبار) لانها جميله جدا. اتمنى ان اكون قد اوجزت ف الشرح. This place has been renovated just few yeas ago. Liked pretty much everything, room was very nice, hotel was very nice and staff was very nice. Place outside for kids to get rid of the additional energy, trampolin etc. they really loved the place. We had a room facing the road, but due to the thick walls and modern windows, couldnt hear any noice. Also modern bathroom in the room, with proper ventilation, so I guess it will stay fresh for a long time. Location good for day trips to water falls and ice caves. Short drive to Zel am See also. Shop, petrol station and bakery also within 500m if needed. We even decided to stay one extra night here. If you dont like farms, then its not probably for you, but we liked everything here.

Small family owned hotel, owners are really nice and really helpfull and speak perfect english. Room was amazing, beautiful and most clean we have ever been in. Hotel is full of really beautiful old things and furniture to look at. Bathroom, shower and kitchen are brand new. Quiet. Absolutely amazing place. You can see the mountains from the windows and from the garden. In the morning it was nice to see the farmer taking cows out to the field. You can get close look to farming and countryside life, still you are about five kilometers from nearest Mc Donald´s, local restaurants are almost next door. There were all kinds of interesting things to do and see in a short driving distance. From the owner you can get information. Really nice touch: we got fresh bread from a bakery every morning, owner charged only the price of the bread. The kitchen in our room was big, nice and have everything in it (for example oven, stove, big fridge, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, dishes...). We highly recommend the hotel for everyone who does not need big and noisy chain hotel crowded of tourists. It´s nice for couples but our four year old son loved it too. Voimme suositella hotellia kaikille autoileville suomalaisille! And: Hotel really is like the pictures shows and so much more.

Zeer vriendelijk ontvangst door de gastvrouw die zowel duits als engels spreekt. Sfeervol appartement voorzien van alle gemakken. Leuke extra's zoals gratis verse melk van hun eigen koeien, wandeling bij hun hut in de bergen. Het kasteel ligt centraal voor het bezoek van talloze hoogtepunten in Oostenrijk. Een echte aanrader! Ligging vlakbij doorgaande weg.

wurden sehr freundlich auch mit Hund aufgenommen. Frühstück war reichlich! haben sehr gut geschlafen schöne Aussicht auf die Berge Stilechte Einrichtung wenn ich was schreiben muss, würde ich sagen die Salz und Pfefferstreuer beim Frühstück waren unpraktisch + fehlender Tischmülleimer ;o) sonst alles prima

הטירה מקסימה!!! מומלץ בחום! יחס אדיב מאוד, הדירה מאובזרת ברמה גבוהה: מדיח כלים, מקרר, מכונת אספרסו,מיקרו, תנור כיריים ועוד... חלב טרי חינם כל בוקר 15 דקות נסיעה לסאלבך מאוד מאוד מומלץ! יש הרבה מדרגות כי הדירות בקומה השלישית.... אבל קצת ספורט לא מזיק אף פעם (-:

موقعها هادي وجيد لمن معهم اطفال وتديره عائله محبوبه جدا,, يبعد عن زلامسي تقريبا خمس دقائق جيد لمن معهم سياره ارضيته من الخشب القديم وبعد الدرج يعني بتسمع اصوات الخشب وين ماتمشي ومافيه تكييف بس كان الجو حلو وبعد مافيه لفت
