This hotel must have opened fairly recently, as all furniture, the wall paint, the bathroom appear to be new and in very good condition. The reception staff is friendly, the breakfast ok for the price of the room.

We were assigned room Nr. 12 and I can't say if this is true for all rooms, but in this particular room there was no possibility of blocking out the sunlight (only internal, semi-transparent curtains installed) so it was "day" as early as 6:30 pm on a summer day, which completely woke us up. Furthermore, the windows are fairly old and there is no air- conditioning, so this east-facing room got blazingly hot (+28°c!!) by 8am. Since we had spent a long night out in the city, we really didn't want to get up before 10am, but this was absolutely out of the question in this sauna of a room. Furthermore, the walls are paper-thin. I know that you will read that "walls are paper-thin" in every hotel review even if it's an exaggeration, but this time, I swear, it is true: we not only heard our room-neighbors "getting it on" in every (!) little detail, we also clearly heard our other neighbor going for "Nr. 2" on the toilet, with the flushing being as loud as if he had stunk up our own room's bathroom. It's a pity that they saved on these little details (sound and light insulation, a/c), otherwise this could be a nice hotel. The way it is, I can only recommend: stay away from it, there are far better hotels in Vienna for the same price at the same distance from the main sights.

It was cheap but clean, and breakfast was included even if it wasn't much.

Reception closes at 7p.m, and the look of the rooms are tired (they look a lot better in the pictures in the website)

Clean cheap hotel with helpful staffs. Close to the city center (10 min from Rathaus by walk). Good breakfast.

Hotel has old woody windows so you can hear noises from street and thin walls so you can hear your neighbors if they are loud. There was no 24*7 reception service. (Only from 7am - 7pm)

Excellent location, friendly and competent staff, best price for services.

I chose this hotel to visit a campus of the university of VIenna for a week. This hotel is so close to the campus (~ 5 min. on foot) and convenient for me. Although this is a little far from the center of the city, I can use a tram stop near here and easily access to the sightseeing area.

I had never met hotel clark during my stay. Where was the reception?

It was very hot when we visited and equally hot in our room facing the sunny street, I guess the rooms facing the inner yard are more in the shade and cooler

Staff were helpful when their English was adequate. They did make apologies and tried their best. Meager breakfast was cheerfully presented. Once I found my way in with help from a neighboring barkeep, my initial impression was good.

My first room was astonishingly noisy from cars and trolleys, as well as a baby in the next room who cried for hours. Exhaustion didn't save me because the bed literally kept falling apart and loudly. My next room had a smoking lounge right outside the door. Staff members literally left the building at 7pm so when I was locked out of the hotel because the electronic lock failed, I waited a half hour for the owner to unlock it. Fortunately, one of the other guests had a cel phone. Need I go on? It was Kafkaesque.

The location is quite nice - not far from downtown, in a about 7-10 minute walk from Rathhous which is ideal for tourists. There is a bus stop just next to the Hotel with the different destinations but I'd prefer walking trips. You cannot have any coffee at the hotel but there are lots of cafes/ bars/ restaurants nearby. The rooms are not so much spacious but clean and don't look shabby. The staff have a rather impassive look but is helpful and friendly in fact.

Should you plan arrive late (after 7pm), I'd strongly recommend to advise the hotel in advance. Otherwise you will be surely spending the night outside.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms were decent for the price and clean and bright. Close to city center. You can walk to everything.

I found the hotel to be loud. There is a restaurant downstairs and I could hear the kitchen from my room in the evening when it was busy plus you could hear other guests coming and going. There were a few times during the night that a guest was buzzing to get in but there is know one at the front desk in the evening. The breskfast is ok but could be improved.

The hotel was far from the old city however it was close to the volskoper opera house.
