In an Art Nouveau building dating from 1896, Hotel Fürst Metternich is in a quiet side street just steps from the Mariahilfer Straße, Vienna’s main shopping street.
Score from 664 reviews Very good
Only a 10-minute tram ride from the Ringstraße boulevard, the Hofburg Palace and the Westbahnhof Train Station, the family-run Hotel Kaffeemühle offers free Wi-Fi access.
Score from 2505 reviews Good
This charming 3-star hotel offers a quiet location close to the Prater amusement park and the famous Ferris Wheel (Riesenrad), only a few steps from a subway station.
Score from 1148 reviews Very good
VERY GOOD BREAKFAST VERY BIG AND CLEAN ROOM AND BATHROOM VERY KIND AND HELPFUL STAFF AT THE RECEPTION
THE ENTRANCE WAS VERY BAD AND DISAPPOINTING AND COULD MAKE ME LEAVE THE CITY ROOMS- CHANGE IT. THE REST PLACE AT THE FIRST AND SECOND FLOORS HAS GOOD APPEARENCE
Breakfast too expansive per person
really friendly staff, clean rooms and bathroom, great internet connection
quite noisy when people walked around in the hall or room next door - thin walls
location, wifi, friendly staff that let us in although the reception was closed
you could hear everything from the other rooms…slept very badly would have needed some earplugs :)
The room was clean and pleasant and the staff very friendly and helpful. We liked having a tram route right outside. We were pleased we had taken a kettle so we could make a hot drink
clean and light rooms, comfortable bed, nice neighborhood, well equiped bathroom, easy to find
Room was a good size and very comfortable, wifi is very convenient and easy to get to city centre with nearby trams.
The good thing about the hotel is that it was clean and had free-wifi.
This is definitely not a four-star-hotel, three stars top. The walls are so thin that you can hear every word of your neighbours crystal clear when they speak. As if only curtains divided us. (Imagine when they don't speak but do something else...) Our neighbours were on a different schedule regarding sleeping hours, so we couldn't sleep as much as we wanted because we had to listen to their tv, etc. The pillows sucked too, they were big and hard, so I had to sleep without a pillow. You can't fully close bathroom/toilet door, so get prepared that your mate will be a part of everything you do in there. No lobby, no hotel feeling at all.
cleanliness spacious room
reception not open 24h no hot water kettle in the room
For me, visiting Vienna frequently City Rooms has been the perfect choice. Within walkung distance to both Schottentor and Gürtel, the location is great. The recent addition of minibars to the rooms has been really valuable, especially in the summertime if you want to store something in the room. The staff has always been really helpful, even keeping my luggage in store while I've been away for a couple of days and bringing it to my new room beforehand, if I've arrived after the reception has already been closed.
Being an old building, the isolation is not always perfect, as you might hear the neighbors talking. Still, since City Rooms is located on a quiet street, the noise from there doesn't reach the rooms.
Nice location away from town with reasonably easy access by tram. Hotel quiet and good bar underneath. Nice to have a safe
The room was nice the wifi was ok the location was good
There is no reception after 5:00pm and until next morning at 8:00 there is no one that you can address to the hotel. They just live you a message with a telephone number where if you need something you can call them! There is no lobby, In the room there is no minibar This is definately not a four star hotel. It is what the name suggests. Just rooms on the second and third floor of a building. Very bad sound insulation between the rooms.
Everything was very efficient, the hotel enabled us to arrive late at night and left us the key in a small safe in the entrance and we enjoyed the stay very much. Very quiet location, central but really quiet.
nothing to mention.
Newly equiped Clean Small rooms but one other hand practical enough
Location is absolutely grate if you are by car - there is parking in front of the building and on sundays it is free of charge. Also, its proximity to city center makes this hotel grate for booking. Room is clean, spacious enough, nice toilets, clean bedsheets, there is also sitting-room. Great place that I would gladely come back and recomend :)
Room doors do not close perfectly but we didnt mind since there was no crowd in the hotel during our stay but might be problematic when hotel is full.
Clean rooms, friendly staff, easy checkin and out.
Noise coming from the street; cars & trams are passing by, choose a room inside the building
good location, very friendly stuff, will visit again )))
Nice Place with spacious rooms in a decent location.
Check-in starts at 1500. We arrived at 1630 to learn that at 1615 they sent us an email saying they were overbooked. Fortunately, they did not kick us out until the next day to another hotel down the block (a worse room). Other than rebooking us, they did nothing else to apologize such as a voucher for a free breakfast or a discount as it was presumably our fault somehow.
The staff of the hotel is very polite and eager to help. The hotel is near the center, it takes about 10-15 minutes to get there. More than just satisfied with the trip:)
No places in the breakfast room. No parking on theirown. Thei didn't inform us about the free public parking during weekend. The room cards stop working at 11 despite the check out was at 12 on the site. Visible lack of personal.
Very good location, comfortable bed, big room. Good breakfast.
Missing curtains and drapes - it was very uncomfortable, because everybody can see us in the room. Sliding door to the bathroom.
The personnel was very kind and helpful. The location was excellent.
The room was a bit worn out, and some of the curtains were broken.
Nice rooms, great and friendly staff. Breakfast is served in a really nice dining room. Great and comfortable beds.
