Crowne Plaza Salzburg - The Pitter  

Mycket bra service och utmärkt mat. Nyårssupén var av hög klass. Baren och dess personal bjöd på en värdig avslut varje kväll. Tyvärr missades en del med städning på rummet.

We were upgraded to this hotel following problems with the hotel we had booked by booking.com. We had a large room with lovely bathroom and use of the pool and gym area. The bars in the hotel are great and open late and the breakfast had a nice selection of food. Would definitely stay again.

Comfortable clean room, pleasant staff, good location.

Price of breakfast was 18 euro which is far too expensive for what was on offer. Booking.com confirmation stated cost was 12.50 however we were informed this was only if b&b rate was chosen at time of booking!! To further complicate things the hotel's own information book in the room says cost is 15 euro. We tried it once only - and were charged the 18 euro despite pointing out the differences to staff at reception.

no free internet. hairdryer was broken and no one came to fix / replace it in our 3-day stay.

location is great, rooms into the inner courtyard are generally more quiet and rooms on the fifth floor have a lower ceiling, so you might want to ask for a room within the first four floors, pool and spa is nice but rather small, computers are provided in the lobby for guest

breakfast is highly overpriced, dark room (a ceiling lighting was missing, there only were two small desk lamps), the staff might be friendly but as I forgot something in the room, they handled the situation not very professionally

Staff helpful and friendly, especially in the food/bar area, cleanliness and good value for money in its location.

Wifi only available at extra cost is not acceptable any more

The family room was nice and big, with the sofa bed made up when we got there. The staff was very nice. The pool/gym/spa was very nice, although the pool was quite small, the kids enjoyed it. The steam room was wonderful. We ate at the basement restaurant and it was very good. They were very accomodating with my kid's special requests. My son is now hooked on weinershnitzl.

I think they had just opened, because when we asked about a bellman, they said not yet. The restaurants weren't all open, the gift shop was closed for the weekend. There were very few electrical outlets. I had to unplug the light to plug in my computer. The wifi made my mac crash. It worked fine across the street on the coffee shop wifi, and my mac never crashed before, so I'm pretty sure it was the hotel wifi setup. They took the charge off my bill. It was a big room and only had one small tv in around the corner from the sofa. Lucky we weren't there to watch tv.

We chose this hotel because I have stayed at the plaza in Rotterdam. This hotel did not match up to the plaza in decor downstairs, but the room was great, the bed was comfortable, the Pitter Keller had a lovely atmosphere, friendly service and good food. We got the room for £100 and it was a bargain. We walked round the city all day and the old town was so accessible that we went back in the evening.

The hotel is very well located (only a 5 minute walk to Castle Mirabell) and my room (316) was big and confortable. The spa was also a plus and the 10 Euro breakfast buffet a good value for money.

When we arrived with lots of luggage there was no one to help us carry them into the hotel and upstairs. Also I inquired about the hotel restaurant for dinner and they said that it would be open until 10pm. When we went down to eat, the main restaurant was closed until Jan.6th (it was the 4th) and our only choice was to dine at their Bier cellar bar. When we arrived there, a very grumpy and arrogant waitress complained that we had no reservations for a 9 people table. I explained what hapenned and I though they were complaining because the bar was full. But to our surprise, the bar was almost empty and they probably didn´t like because they wanted to close earlier (we arrived at 9pm)!
