Very comfortable, quiet room. Excellent breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff.
The location is great for shopping the pedestrian areas of the city, visiting the many museums, and enjoying great food at the many quality restaurants.
Our room faced the street and late at night the inebriated woke us with their revelries.
Excellent service and very comfortable, decorated with a great eye for design and humor. Great breakfasts. Location couldn't be better, especially for museums.
This was a winner in every sense: location, comfort, cleanliness, service, and the breakfast exceeds expectations. I love the use of art all around the hotel: paintings, sculpture, small and artful displays of glass and ceramics. Perfect location for those interested in seeing art museums, and close to the naschmarket and to the concert locale of St. Charles Church.
Everything was perfect. A little awkward to access the wi-fi with codes, though this is a small complaint. And if you don't want to sleep in two single beds that have been pushed together into a double, perhaps you could ask about that when making the reservation.

Air conditioning was weak
My wife and I stayed at Das Tyrol for 3 nights in September during a wonderful visit to Vienna. The hotel is centrally located on Mariahilfer Strasse, within easy walking distance of many restaurants, significant attractions and shopping areas. The hotel, our room and the spa were beautifully designed, furnished and decorated. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also fabulous and something we looked forward to each morning. We highly recommend Das Tyrol and would definitely stay at Das Tyrol again if we return to Vienna.
breakfast wellness area!!!
If I could give this hotel 4.5 stars, I would. It is not a luxury hotel in the sense that the quality of the furnishings in the room was not up to 5-star standards (carpet, linens, towels, bathroom fittings, etc). However, the location was fabulous (FABULOUS), the staff were uniformly charming and very very helpful, the room was spacious and airy (even though the a/c was none-too-effective), the included breakfast was satisfying and served with charm . . . you get the idea. Ask the staff for their restaurant recommendations. We did not receive a bad one. We would return here in a minute.
the a/c was less than effective -- that's the bad news. The good? The hotel provided two fans and the room had great cross ventilation with the windows open.
We liked everything, but above all the helpful and friendly staff that made us so welcome. A real special place, would love to stay again.
Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, very good location and spa was wonderful!
Everything Great location to all you would want to see either on foot, tram, metro Lots of sidewalk cafés, bars etc outside the door. Staff friendly, efficient,English speaking. Will assist you with all requests Excellent breakfast, never rushed to leave, lovely staff Room, big lots of space, comfortable bed, great pillows bathroom modern, bright and spotlessly clean
Can't think of anything other than some street noises as we did like to keep a window open. Close the window and no problem
The location is perfect.
A little bit noisy especially on Friday evening.
Found the staff very helpful and friendly- left a pastry in our room when they found out it was my daughters birthday Room was small but comfortable and very clean. Lovely decor with modern artworks Nespresso coffee machine in room (no charge for capsules) Good buffet breakfast with eggs on request
Really nice hotel in central Vienna in the museum quarter. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the accommodation was very comfortable with little touches of luxuary that set it apart.
The reception staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Location very good, especially for the 'museum quarter' (3 minutes walk).
The room was too small (although the en suite bathroom was fine). I was on the top floor (5th). I don't know if they were any bigger on other floors.
Very friendly, very nice hotel.. Breakfast wonderful
Fantastic location, very comfortable beds, lovely spa, great breakfast!
Everything! The staff: from the moment we walked in the door, Nadine's smile and warm welcome set the tone. Immediately assisted us with our luggage, provided specific directions to the nearby parking garage, efficiently checked us in, and gave us indepth information to plan our next three days in Vienna. Armin called and confirmed our desired event arrangements. Antoinella greeted us every morning and ensured our breakfast was to perfection. And Lajos efficiently helped us check out and load our in the car. A marvelous group of individuals! The hotel is well maintained, cheery with a cozy lobby and breakfast area. The room was spacious with a modern bathroom, comfortable reading area and a Nespresso machine for coffee & tea. Lots of subtle touches and extras! Location is fabulous! Great for walking to major sights, a myriad of restaurants (highly recommend Pesco two blocks down) and shops. Kudos to the Das Tyrol staff and owner! Thank you for such a wonderful experience! All the staff were very friendly, cheerful and helpful. The room was spacious and clean as was the ensuite. Complementary spring water on arrival and tea and coffee making facilities.
The cleaners came to room fairly early (before 10am) sometimes when we were down at breakfast or getting ready to leave for our day out. Would have been better after 11am
Very good quality furnishings in the rooms and hotel in general, helpful staff, interesting decorative art pieces and a good location.
Great location, right on the main shopping street and just next to the 'city circle' where all the old buildings are. Receptionist was extremely helpful and gave us lots of info on things to do. The rooms were not huge but the beds were comfy (the pillows were like clouds) and the bathroom was beautiful. Also it was close enough to the train station for us to walk there. Breakfast was great and there was a huge variety of foods to choose from.
Great location - an easy walk to the city centre. Excellent breakfast. Helpful, friendly staff (especially on front-desk).
Art work not to our taste - at odds with the architecture and general feel of the hotel. Lack of any English language TV (other than news) is typical but disappointing.
The breakfast was fantastic! It made for a wonderful start to the day!
The air conditioning level was uncomfortable for those of us Americans that like a cool sleep. It was adequate during the day, but then we were there in the warm part of July.
The staff is wonderful; the room was lovely; breakfast buffet tasty; location is excellent! I would definately recommend.
The English language TV channels were limited to news / business - CNBC, CNN, BCC, Bloomberg et al. An entertainment channel would have been a nice change when one is awake early in the morning due to jet lag.
