Room Location Breakfast Helpfulness of staff
The breakfasts The fabulous funky steam room The cleanliness The staff The beds and quilts were fabulous
Everything, Reception staff Louis ( English translation) was exceptional. This is the only hotel I will ever stay in when visiting Vienna
The only thing and it is a very small complaint is that the shower turns hot to cold without warning.
The staff are a great credit to the hotel, particularly Javlon who was very helpful and went out of his way to make sure you were sorted out.
Everything! The staff were all so friendly, efficient and helpful. The art all around the hotel is beautiful. The owner's shoes (who resides on the 6th floor) are all lined elegantly on the spiral staircase and can be viewed from the lift. She has such impeccable taste, which can be felt throughout the whole hotel. Gorgeous I tell you!
The Staff, the location, the breakfast and rhe service was great! Thank you
Quite simply perfect. Great location for the Museum quarter, super-friendly staff at the reception, decently-sized room
The location and comfort of the hotel. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely come back!
Excellent hotel - I am so glad I booked it. The staff are exceptional without being pretentious. The breakfast is delicious and very fresh - maybe because a glass of prosecco kept us happy! They even went out and surprised my missus with a cake on her birthday. I am very particular about quiet rooms and the one we had was very peaceful. It was a little hot for me, as the air-conditioning doesn't work in winter but a decent fan was provided. Possibly my favourite hotel in Europe. Cannot say enough good about the place!
Nothing to dislike
The staff are so friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. Loved the original art work on the walls as well as the complimentary cakes in the lobby! Breakfast was very good - croissants, cereals, bread, fruit, yoghurts, meats, cheese, omelettes, tea, coffee and even champagne!
The location was excellent. Great service especially reception. All staff super friendly. Loved the art in dinning room. Beds extra comfy spotless and everything you need
Way too hot. No heaters on, but we still had to open the windows and as this is central location that made it noisey. But I'm sure others would be fine, you can't please everyone and I like cold bedroom.
The friendly staff The great furnished room The amazing sauna/hamman privatized The Museumquarter
Das Tyrol is very well located, friendly, well decorated. Dont miss the spa in the basement with crazy shower and steam rooms, and huge fish tank. But the breakfast is the real reason to stay here!
Has everything you'd hope for in a 4-star hotel and then some - Location, comfort, scrumptious breakfast, amenities, free wi-fi, friendly staff and to top that off it was stylish, had a nespresso machine in the room and great water pressure in the bathroom
unique style, art work, and decorations; extremely comfortable
Very comfortable, quiet room. Excellent breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff.
The location is great for shopping the pedestrian areas of the city, visiting the many museums, and enjoying great food at the many quality restaurants.
Our room faced the street and late at night the inebriated woke us with their revelries.
Excellent service and very comfortable, decorated with a great eye for design and humor. Great breakfasts. Location couldn't be better, especially for museums.
This was a winner in every sense: location, comfort, cleanliness, service, and the breakfast exceeds expectations. I love the use of art all around the hotel: paintings, sculpture, small and artful displays of glass and ceramics. Perfect location for those interested in seeing art museums, and close to the naschmarket and to the concert locale of St. Charles Church.
Everything was perfect. A little awkward to access the wi-fi with codes, though this is a small complaint. And if you don't want to sleep in two single beds that have been pushed together into a double, perhaps you could ask about that when making the reservation.
Furnishing, staff, breakfast, shower
Air conditioning was weak
My wife and I stayed at Das Tyrol for 3 nights in September during a wonderful visit to Vienna. The hotel is centrally located on Mariahilfer Strasse, within easy walking distance of many restaurants, significant attractions and shopping areas. The hotel, our room and the spa were beautifully designed, furnished and decorated. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also fabulous and something we looked forward to each morning. We highly recommend Das Tyrol and would definitely stay at Das Tyrol again if we return to Vienna.
breakfast wellness area!!!
If I could give this hotel 4.5 stars, I would. It is not a luxury hotel in the sense that the quality of the furnishings in the room was not up to 5-star standards (carpet, linens, towels, bathroom fittings, etc). However, the location was fabulous (FABULOUS), the staff were uniformly charming and very very helpful, the room was spacious and airy (even though the a/c was none-too-effective), the included breakfast was satisfying and served with charm . . . you get the idea. Ask the staff for their restaurant recommendations. We did not receive a bad one. We would return here in a minute.
the a/c was less than effective -- that's the bad news. The good? The hotel provided two fans and the room had great cross ventilation with the windows open.
