Score from 159 reviews Very good
Only a few minutes’ walk away from the lakeshore and the cable cars, this family-run hotel is centrally located in the pedestrian zone of Zell am See.
Score from 428 reviews Excellent
It was very good food, nice staff and good beds.
The reception staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The hotel is very close to the base station of the Schmitten so very good for skiers.
We had a self catering apartment and, as seems usual in Austria, the kitchen didn't have some basic things like washing up liquid. When you arrive on a Saturday afternoon and the shops are closed until Monday, that is awkward. However, they had some things like dishwasher tablets and cloths that I have missed in other places.
Nice and comfortable room, free parking in front of the hotel, view.
Loud ventilator in bathroom, paid WiFi, still the same on the breakfast except weekends. Only one of three working sauna in wellness.
Friendly staff Very good breakfast
Must pay for internet Not good internet connection in the room Restaurant was closed Bar was closing at 8 PM There was no place to have a dring after 8 PM
Excellent room with a view over lake; Easy to find;
close to cable car in the mountain beautiful view
The location is ok. The public transport from Zell is more than ok if you want to drink few beers and do not have power to climb the hill. Hotel it self is nice clin and friendly
The price could be lower.
some of the staff are very nice
-they are exploited one time I ask for ICE and they ask me for money !!! - the room is very small with queen beed but tow mattress -No air-condition -no Fridge check out 10 am !!!!
- The room was very clean and the bathroom well equipped. - Hotel looks very nice, well decorated. - I think big advantage of this hotel is a Zell am See - Kaprun card which made me stay in this hotel.
- A little far from Zell am See center - it takes about 2kms down the hill. - Stuff is a bit cold and distanced. - Every room has it's own table in hotel's restaurant. Unfortunatly I didn't get one, which made quite an awkward situation at brekafast where I didn't have a place to sit down with my hands full. Luckly, it was quite quicly solved by a kind young girl. - I was staying in the room most distanced from the centre of the building and the wi-fi wasn't working - at all. I asked for a cable connection but the receptionist told me it will work with the same speed. Luckly, I insisted and cable-internet worked fine.
we liked the designe of the furnture
wi fi was very weak
Good approach of staff, good facility. Off season discount.
Clean , in the city
No free wifi And it is expensive
Great hotel with helpful and pleasant staff. Lovely rooms with great views. Very close (400m) to TransXpress ski lift.
About 2km to the town, which wasn't that bad walking down but coming back up the hill was an effort (or taxi).
Lovely building, nice and friendly staff, comfy beds, spacious rooms, great showers. Great views of the mountains and the lake.
Far too many of the lights work off sensors, so they're going on and off a lot, which can be irritating. Even in the bathroom, the light works off a sensor, which means it doesn't switch on until you're about halfway into the bathroom (with no window) itself. Unless you like meat and particularly pork, the choice at meal times is fairly limited. The quality of the fish products needs improvement and/or more enhanced cooking. The coffee was awful, luke warm and on the bitter side. A 20 minute steep down hill walk into the town centre, so getting home always involved a taxi. Quite handy for the slopes though.
The facilities incl SPA, friendliness of staff and the close distance to the slopes. Cozy atmosphere. Very silent at nights.
The value for the surprisingly small double room without balcony, armchairs and other comfortables. Placed in an annex without previous notification.
Close to skilift. Nice sauna!
To expensive for such a small appartment. Kitchen to small
Spa area is very nice and relaxing. Good location to ski areas and to the downtown.
Parking lot is a bit small and can be difficult to maneuver.
it is handy for the majority of ski lifts in the Zell region. Walkable - meaning you can beat the crowds packed at the town centre lift, and don't need to hang around for a bus. food was very good. all the facilities you'd expect (ski and boot stalls, sauna) and the people were all very pleasant.
not a big problem, since I consider the location to be a positive, but it's not very central - 4 bus stops or 15-20 mins walk to-from town centre. it took three trips to reception to finally be able to get into my room.
