Donauwalzer Hotel  

After reading the reviews on booking.com, I wasn't expecting too high from the hotel. But the hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The rooms were very clean and comfy. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was superb with lot of variety. Location was excellent with a tram stop right in front of the hotel and U-Bahn station closeby. Plenty of restaurants around. Absolutely no complaints.

Design

The staff were excellent, so helpful. Rooms were a good size, and very clean, lots of complimentry toiletries in bathroom.

Very comfortable and cosy rooms. I stayed there with my girlfriend over the weekend. It`s relative close to the centre and not so expensive as I supposed. Only 4 stops from Westbahnhof. It`s very important because my freundin left Wien from westbahnhof and I left for the airport. Breakfast is good enough and you can leave your bags after 11:00 o`clock check out and take it back in the evening. Wish you luck. Alex und Adrienn.

The Tram is right in front of the hotel, so you can get to the city centre in no time.

The beds were way past their working life, and so were the pillows. The room was too hot, yet there was no way of adjusting it. Also, you could really tell the carpet was not clean. Nonetheless, I guess I was expecting too much for the price.

The service is very good and friendly. They want to help you where possible.

The beds are old and make noise. Somethings need to be renewd. I understood it will happen. Somethings are changed allready and it looks good.

Everthing was very nice......... The staff was friendly, the hotel nice and quiet. I think this hotel is the smartest choice for your visit in Wien !!!

Was great, room was small but expected that - everything was clean and worked. Despite heavy traffic outside, couldn't hear a thing in my room. Breakfast was good, location to the underground system was great, staff were friendly and helpful.

It's yet another hotel that seems to think wifi is a premium service. A friend was staying in a hostel in the city at the same time as me where it was free. Far from a deal breaker though, and it was easy enough to make do with plentiful free wifi in cafes (Freewave).

The two lovely Newfoundland Dogs, Alivio & Eos. Although don't wear your best Gaberdine trousers when you meet them?? The buffet breakfast was huge, pity I have a very poor appetite, it was a banquet. Also breakfast hours between 7am & 10pm, refreshingly civilised. Mint on the pillow, nice touch. Friendly Housekeeping staff. Tram stop right outside the hotel which made it so easy to get to the centre of Wien. Well done!

Not enough tables at breakfast. The bar was very disappointing, run out of Chivas Whisky & didn't bother to replace it? Lots of noise early from housekeeping staff early in the morning.

Clean room, fridge in room, close to train or tram & a 15 min walk to city centre. Hotel desk staff very friendly and helpful!! I did not get up early enough for breakfast but it looked good as they were packing it away one day. Restaurant very new and nice feel.

In very dodgy neighborhood (strip clubs and the like. I passed a gay cruising place not far away- seedy). Internet 6€ an hour or 12€ for 24??? Gotta be kidding me! Most other places I've stayed it's at least free in public areas! This is one of my minimums but missed it when booking this place. Room was very small.

Ein riesen großer Pluspunkt ist das Personal im Hotel,zuvorkommend, freundlich!Ganz besonders die Dame in der Nachtschicht hat uns begeistert! Das Buffet am Morgen war wirkich super!

Weniger gut hat uns das Zimmer gefallen. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Whirlpoolwanne,an sich eine tolle Sache, wenn die Wanne nicht undicht gewesen wäre.nach 2 Minuten Whirlpool stand das halbe Zimmer unter Wasser.(leider wurde der Fehler nicht behoben,obwohl wir der Rezeption bescheid gesagt hatten) Internet kostenpflichtig,enorm hohe Geburen!
