staff and location!!!
The staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast choice was plentyful. Location was top notch in direct walking distance to Maria-Hilfe Strasse and right across from the West Bahnhof and several trams.
Not much to not like. Yea, the rooms were a bit old, but then it's an old building and we didn't spend much.
Just opposite to the westbahnhof. Convenient but quiet. I spent 2 nights in the budget room for 1 person and it's very cosy!
Nice staff! Really nice room facility and room service. Close to train station and other public transportation.
The staffs are nice, guided me quite detail of the places I need to go.
The hotel is right in front of Wien westbahnhof and almost at the corner of Mariahilfer Strasse. This is an exceptional localization for those travelling by train. The gentleman at the front desk was greatly helpfull in all our needs.
The hotel is really old and needs improvements. We booked a room ( Numbers 6), for 4 people and the two who had to sleep 7 nights in a sofa bed have had hard times. The shower, without courtains makes the bathroom stay all wet. Be aware that there is no air conditioning. We had no problem because the weather was cool, but in summer...
Very good breakfast, calm atmosphere.
No window, or ventilation, in room
The staff is very nice abd helpful. The hotel looks classic and gorgeous, also cheap! I can not believe I can spend a little money on this good hotel
Very close to the main transport station
stairs at the entrance
The helpfulness of the staff and the provision of a requested special diet.
Difficult stairs at the entrance.
Great location Helpful friendly staff
1. Location of the hotel. Right in front of Westbandhof, perfect! 2. The old school deco - a glimpse into how the old Viennese apartment or hotels must've been like. 3. Breakfast - delicious croissant 4. Staffs are friendly and helpful 5. Clean rooms and toilets
Thin walls and ceilings - I could hear people walking in the room above me and outside my room. It disrupts my sleep and I am generally a non-fussy, heavy sleeper. To me, it wasn't a deal breaker but if you are a light or fussy sleeper, this is not the place for you. Another thing is the hot water is a bit slow in starting, you will have to wait a while before the water gets warm. =)
Wifi is not stable and this is the worst hotel I've been to in my life time! Especially the receiptionist(old guy)'s attitude is super bad! He didn't tell me anything until i ask him and also not been notified whether my room is including breakfast or not, where shall I have it, where is my room etc. I was so frustrated and the room is super small! And I booked a one day tour but that guy didnt tell me my tour guide was waiting for me outside! I have to cancel my trip as my guide was gone without telling me! The only thing is the good location. However, I would not recommend this hotel to anybody as he made my worst days in Vienna!!
Location is excellent Staff was very helpful Breakfast except a coffee
A coffee in the breakfast buffet
1, Room is very spacious (#50) and comfortable. There was space to place two suitcases which is rare in most hotel rooms (even 5 star ones). 2. Location, location, location. Hotel is right opposite the Westbahnhof, so it is super convenient to take U3 metro to the city center (e.g. Stephanplatz) in 10 min. Airport bus is also right outside the rail station. We could not have asked for a better location. 3. Quiet nights. Yes, the trade-off is the immediate area outside rail stations is busy and a bit untidy. We took precautions as in any city; we felt safe and would return to this hotel. Busy street outside during the day, though it is quiet at night so we slept well. I heard metro stops operating around midnight.
I did not expect to find the Hotel/Reception area to be up a flight of stairs from the street entrance. So you must carry your luggage. This was a struggle/annoyance as I had a heavy medium-sized suitcase.
Location, Price was best! Staffs were also kind. Wifi is strong anywhere.
I like the service, the politeness and the generousity of management, and very helpfull to direct the guest to what ever they need to visit in the city.I Give them applaud.
Need to have a restaurant and bar to accommodate guest at night to a Reasonable hour.
Place has character! ALL the staff are extremely helpful & friendly. Comfortable beds! Superb breakfasts, too!
Central location for train
Old interior in bathroom but all clean and working well
The proximity to railway station and shopping. Comfortable walk to sights and sounds of old Vienna
Having to lug my luggage up stairs from the street entrance to reception.
Front desk staff. Breakfast
Very convenient location. Hotel is located close to city centre. Tram stop, metro station, train station just 50 m from the hotel. Lots of shops, cafes, restaurants just a few steps away. Room was clean and nice, everything worked as expected. Room size was quite large for its price. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Street noise was not heard at all.
Nearby church bells started ringing at 7 am on weekdays. Very loudly!
location and helpful staff
no lift for the first 20 steps. one can hear other people closing doors walking around. not very quiet. No tea/coffee arrangement.
Good facilities and good breakfast
