location, comfort, quiet room
The restaurant - it was rather expensive and the onion soup was too salty to eat.
Unique hotel near to the Mariahilfer strasse
Car Park is in the next hotel
nothing - even the in-room shower is just so they could save space
I have never written a review before but i cannot let it go this time! i travelled to vienna between dec.29-jan 3 and stayed at this hotel for 5 nights.First of all when we arrived at 11 o clock in the morning the weather was really bad (it was windy and snowing a lot). they told us the room would be ready at 3 o clock and that we could just leave our luggage there and take a walk!in the snow!wearing not so warm clothes because they were in my suitcase which i couldnt open anywhere (it was -6C outside)!even though i had requested an earlier check in and an upper strorey room nothing was granted. It's ok except thegirl at the reception tried to convince me that anyway check in time was 3 o clock! (It's actually 2).I then asked her how we could get to CAFE CENTRAL which is a very famous coffee place in the middle of the city and she had no idea- not even the name of the place!!!!Two days later we were sleeping in the afternoon when our friends, who were staying at the same hotel but in another part of it, called us to say they were looking for us outside!there was a fire alarm at the hotel and everybody should have been outside but no one informed us!!!!!!!!sure enough there was a fire truck outside the hotel! there was some short of announcement in german in the distance but at room 304 where we were you couldn't hear anything! it was a false alarm fortunately but what would have hapenned if the fire was real and our friends were not staying at the hotel?i complained about it but they said that they had a test 2 months ago and everything was working properly! I'm sorry but for 160euros/night maybe you can find somewhere better and safer to stay! Also 2 days before we left the same girl came up to my room telling me that the credit card i had used to book the room 2 months ago had expired and that i should give them a new one and our room cards were cancelled! My card had expired at the end of November why did they do this now?
Every negative opinion that I saw and was concerned about, never turned out to be true. People are haters and they will build up bad opinion based on nothing. If you're picking a 4-star hotel, you'll get what you're paying for. I've spent great time over there and I would highly recommend this hotel.
Great staff, good food and bar. Quiet location 300 meters from the main train station and underground system.
Area a little shabby but safe.
breakfast. it was the best for this price. definitely recommending.
i had a room with a water flooding when i take shower. so i asked to change the room and they changed immediately. i liked that they did it fast but i didnt like that the room itself was problematic. it means they didnt check it beforehand. that is one point disappointing
The location is perfect and the glass shower makes the room more interesting
The pillows were a little to small and soft.
Like pay on my local card in Austria.
To pay on my Master card notwithstanding I phave informed hotel?
Room ameninties could be better
Location: Very close to westbahnhof station and underground line U3, easy to reach shopping, museums and downtown. Breakfast : excellent coffee and buffet choices. Spacious , comfortable , modern and clean room ( you can request quiet room at the back ). Staff spoke English well. Wifi free.
A glass box shower in the middle of the room was very strange, not very private. There are sex shops beside the hotel - but no one disturbed us. Ground floor areas are not cosy or encouraging for evening relaxation in the hotel. However , we really enjoyed our stay.
Location nearby metro (U3) and central train station. Clean place. Friendly staff. Food quality (dinner and breakfast). Very nice room construction with "interesting" design including transparent shower cabinet located in the centre of the room.
Too weak mattress with very thin pillows did not allow me to enjoy the sleep. Speed of wi-fi connection was too slow.
There is a great bar tender in this hotel. Great drinks.
Still for me the hotel's location close to Mariahilfer Strasse and Westbahnhof is a big plus. From here you get quckly everywhere in the city. Taking the U3 you are within 10 minutes at the Stephansplatz in the city center.
Compared to when they have opened the hotel the quality is deteriorating but average cost have increased. You can see this especially in the wellness area. The sauna inside needs a refresh, one shower is broken and the steambath doe not function properly for now more rhan 4 months.
Spacious room, good location, Breakfast included, good breakfast
Dinner at the Restaurant was rather poor, Staff was ok, check out in the morning took 15min and the cab was waiting - clerk had to call someone for step by step instructions as he didn't know how to check out,
Location is very central and convenient to get to city centre. Rooms are a good size, central shower takes some getting used to. Breakfast is plentiful and varied.
The staff are very professional but could do with a smile on their face.
I stayed there for 2 weeks on a work trip. Likes: Super comfortable bed, quiet environment, and strong wifi signals - I love staying in the room so much. Buffet breakfast was a good spread with outstanding service. The hotel was also easy to find from the airport. Mr Lechner also provided a very professional service. Westbahnhof's entrance itself has some characters hanging around and some say it is not the best part of the city but the shops there are opened until 9pm usually and also opened on Sundays although not till 9pm. Overall Vienna feels very safe.
Dislikes: a couple of times, the cleaner had not vacuumed the corner of my room near the bed. Bits of paper (eg, receipt), or plastic sometimes drop there so I can see that they did not vacuum that spot when I see the "rubbish" laying there in the evening when I returned. I was also told that the linens are changed every other day but I am not sure. Once, I asked for a clean set of towels because I had used mine in the morning, they were a little damp and the housekeepers had not changed it and I had gone back to the hotel in the afternoon and wanted to get another clean and dry set. I waited 1 hour for them to send it up. When I went downstairs to reception to remind them to give me a new set, the blonde told me one has to put towels on the floor to get them changed, which is fine except that I had not seen the sign. So I asked her again, can I get a new set, and she was like waiting for the other staff to get off the phone before she could confirm with me that I can have a clean set of towels! It was not the best service I have experienced. Also when I requested for an iron and ironing board, I was told that there are 5 sets to be shared among all the hotel guests and I have to carry the set I borrowed from the reception to my room by myself. They allowed me to leave it in the room till the end of the trip, so I guess there was not a great need for it among other guests, which was lucky for me. The neighbourhood is dubious, from Westbahnhof, one has to past by a couple of girlie clubs to get to the hotel entrance, but it was quite safe.
A little bit later check out (14 instead o 12) without additional fees.
Wifi didn`t work in my room.
This hotel offered great price/value. Staff was very friendly, the rooms are modern. All facilities were present and the buffet breakfast was lovely. And the hotel is very central. After seeing this hotel I am very curious about their Fleming Deluxe sister hotel.
The only minus is that in the rooms facing the street, you could still hear cars passing by. But that was only the morning when I was still sleeping.
Location is outside the most famous but near the most uncommon attractions. W.Banhof is great for off-hours shopping and commuting; the nearby streets are a mix of alternative-chic. Good breakfast buffet and flexible/professional staff.
Don't expect a great Gym!
Breakfast is nice.
Excellent location: Literally opposite the U-Bahn, 10 minutes walk to main shopping street Mariahilferstrasse and 20 minutes walk to the old town. Breakfast included in the rate. Accommodating and friendly waiters. Clean and comfortable room.
Same breakfast spread every day. Sour-faced housekeeping lady who delivered a dirty jug kettle and mugs when I requested for them. The same lady who came to our room again by mistake to deliver some sleeping pillows meant for another room. She threw the pillows onto the unsanitary floor in irritation when she discovered she had the wrong room. The fact that the hotel gave us a smaller room when we stayed for one night, compared to the bigger room we got when we stayed for 3 nights. Both were the same type of room and rate.
Cleanness and good location
