Why? Here are my arguments: the central location, good price, quiet and clean hotel, safety, comfort. WiFi internet, breakfast excellent. The staff service was fair and discreet.
Value for money and location
The Room structure and the bathroom is good enough. Apart from that nothing was upto mark.
Very unfriendly and rude staff. They even don't bother about their customer and guest. Your payment is done and you are on your own. No service at all. After 6 the reception is closed and they lock down everything. You won't find a single sound of anybody there. It makes you to feel that you are in a ghost house but not in a residential hotel. The worst part is in my life for the time it happend that the "room service lady" knocked on my door and at 9:48 AM and very rudely told that to vacate the room soon as the check out time is 10AM. I was just going to take my shower and was about to check out. But my shower was a dream there. I would just say if you have enough money and time to waste against of "NO SERVICE" then check in to this hotel.
I arrived during a very cold spell in late December. My room, however, was very cozy and comfortable. I enjoyed the accommodations and would return.
Although WiFi is in a common area, your private room does not have WiFi. Common area was convenient and I had no problems there. The TV is an antique, which may bother some persons. Also, I had obnoxious neighbors who disturbed me when they returned at 4 AM.
Close to the railway station and a micro brewery.
No wifi in the room.
quiet, near the centre
It was a great position.
That the reception was closed until 9pm and all the night. If I needed something, no one was there. There was no hair dry in the room, I need one, but I din't know to whom I had to ask.
The overall ambience was very nice & comfortable. Value for money.
Close to the Center, value for money
Staff very helpful. Locked area to store our bikes.
Extremely clean, close to the town's centre, the staff speaks English very well and there was liquid soap at every sink. Common toilets also very clean (of course, depends on the neighbours you have, I was lucky). The furniture looks new, not top-modern, but new and clean. Two towels, comfortable bed, extra blanket at your disposal. Good wifi, but unachievable at the 3 floor, I had it only downstairs in the common room. Super for one night stay.
About the walls, yes, you can hear the tv of your neighbours, but I was lucky, they didn't watch it till late. Climbing stairs would be impossible for visitors with physical limitations, no alternative (not a problem for me, just as info).
- Location is excellent: walking distance to downtown and to the train station; - Mattress good; - Room quiet; - Clean; - Staff friendly.
- No hair dryer in the room; - TV was not working properly; - No bed-side lamps; - Slightly overpriced.
The receptionist had such an 'attitude' almost to the point of being rude. We were travelling by bicycle and although the cycles were under cover it was in an open yard which anyone could have accessed- having had bicycles stolen before that made me very nervous. The noises within the hotel from other guests was so loud it sounded as if they were walking around in your room. Breakfast was poor considering we paid 7 euros more for it.
The lady at the desk was super nice. The internet worked great. It was clean as others had described it. It was a few minutes walk to the heart of everything. The gal at the desk gave me a great tip on where to have dinner. The breakfast was great and there were 5 coffee choices from the automatic machine and the two I tried were the best.
Actually I can't think of a thing I didn't like. The little old fashioned tube TV was a bit dated but I was not there to watch TV.
closness to Train staion and city. clean.Otherwise nothing
A very bad approach from staff - Rude. I had discussed staying on an extra night due to circumstances of my own, they agreed that there was a single room for me. There was a lot (a heck of a lot) of noise from drilling in the kitchen from 8am on my 1st morning there,When I asked a member of staff over breakfast on the second day of drilling, when would the noise stop, she checked with the builders. they said there'd be only a little noise the next day. I did not cancel (nor did they confirm that I did)though I did make it known I had reservations about staying on Wed night10/9/14. so on the Tuesday morning, I was asked to get my things from my room urgently, the cleaner told me that I had to go to reception. It is 3 steep floors up,(no lift) so I exhaustedly got my things. I was told I could use the only wifi area in this building (breakfast room)to find somewhere else!!! They said there was a miscommunication (with a smile!!) I feel upset still when I think of this place. i should have refused to leave as I had no other accomodation. I had to bunk in with my daughter in her bed (single) elsewhere. I think you would have to check this place out. I will book through another agent in future.
First problem: they ignored our request for a double bed and gave us two single beds. When we complained about it, they pretty much laughed at us for even thinking it was a problem. Offered no apology or solution. Quote "we cannot always do what the customer wants." Second problem: no toilets in many of the rooms, you have to share with others. A bit difficult if you want to go in the middle of the night. Third problem: cleaner/reception lady (saw her doing both tasks) bursts into the bedroom every morning without knocking. Fourth problem: very loud road works which begin at about 8am, even though we asked for a quiet room and they said they could provide this.
wifi not available in rooms, quiet expensive, small rooms,
good position,close to city downtown
free wifi 7 euros extra breakfast was ok
no elevator a bit far from Hauptplatz, Lentos and the main cultural areas room was quite humid (highest floor)
Filthy shared bathroom with faeces on the seat. Noisy rowdy group next door with thin walls. Avoid!
Very friendly staff. Good security. You can come and leave as you please, which was great.
My room with private bathroom and shower was on the third floor with no elevator which is difficult.
This is a great wee property. Less than a 10 min walk from the station and just around the corner from the Main Street. Extremely clean and tidy and felt really safe. ( which is a big thing for a girl travelling alone)
The only downside was no lift. also, my room was on the 3rd floor and the shower was on the 1st floor. Minor details really! :)
Excelent administrator. Excellent Location. Excellent service.
