Family-run and child-friendly, Hotel-Gasthof Freisleben in St. Anton am Arlberg offers accommodation units in a picturesque location at the edge of the forest. The valley station of the Rendlbahn Cable Car is 500 metres away. Hotel-Gasthof Freisleben provides units with cable TV, a seating area and a bathroom. Most units await you with a balcony or a terrace with panoramic views of the Lechtal Alps, the valley and the town of St. Anton. The apartments come with cooking facilities. Half board includes a rich buffet breakfast with homemade products like jam and honey, and a 3- to 4-course dinner. A romantic fondue evening is hosted once a week and special diet menus are available on request. The hotel features a ski cellar with a ski boot storage room and opportunities for tabletop football, table tennis and badminton. For children there is a summer playground with a slide, a trampoline and a sandbox, as well as a small playroom with a mini trampoline and a slide. Baby chairs, a baby phone and a baby back carrier can be requested and babysitting services are available. For motorcyclists the hotel offers a drying room and a garage for about 6 motorcycles. Good location to ski lifts, although for coming back in the evening one should go uphill, which is not easy after a day of tough skiing. Hovewer, the hotel offers free minibus charter, just on call, so it was convenient. Overall pleasant and cheerful staff, good meals, although the breakfast wasn't very extensive, they could have added some hot sausages. Generally, a good hotel. I disliked that we booked a room with two separate beds, however, when we arrived there was just one twin bed. Since we were two friends went together for skiing, it was far not comfortable. The hotelkeeper explained that two beds were not actually booked, it was rather a wish, that might or might not be followed, depending on the availability of rooms. The hotel sent us an additional contract, where it was mentioned. Okay, may be I was not very attentive while reading it, but: 1) it was for the first time, when there was an additional contract, normally just a confirmation from booking.com sufficed and 2) if we asked for two single beds, why not to write an e-mail informing us that there is no possibility to find a room with two separate beds, as requested, and to ask, whether it suits us or not. But instead they simply withdrew an advance payment from the card and sent that contract, I believe just in hope that no one would read it thoroughly and after we come to the hotel, we would accept what we are offered. We regard all that as a cheating to acquire the visitors, so we strongly recommend to everyone to check it beforehand, just not to be surprised at the arrival.
