Surrounded by the impressive mountain landscape of the Hohe Tauern National Park, our comfortable 3-star hotel is located in the centre of Mittersill in the Pinzgau region of Salzburg.

The Hirschenwirt inn is ideally suited for your hiking, mountain biking or skiing holiday. Our hotel has been a family business for 5 generations. Our cuisine is well-known for its Austrian and regional specialities, and you will feel especially comfortable in our cosy, wood-panelled “Pinzgauer Stuben” lounge. We combine a delightful ambience and traditional hospitality with modern comfort and a unique location in a breathtaking natural landscape.

Delicacies from kitchen and wine cellar await our guests in our “Pinzgau Parlours“, warmly decorated in wood. Tasteful details contribute to the cosy atmosphere. In the morning we serve a rich breakfast buffet, and you will be pampered with Austrian and regional dishes. In summer you can also dine on our terrace in the garden.

Area information

Our house is located at the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park and is an ideal starting point for excursions in all directions: Krimml Falls, Kaprun Reservoirs, Grossglockner mountain, Kitzbühel, Zell am See, Salzburg, Innsbruck and much more.

The large Kitzbühel-Pass Thurn ski area and 5 other ski areas are in the immediate vicinity. The stop of the free ski bus is only 50 metres away.
