Gasthof Pension Grüner Anger  

The husband and wife owners were very pleasant and accommodating. The room was very clean. We ate breakfast and dinner at the Gasthof Pension both days and the food was excellent. The location is very good, close, but not too close to catch the noise from all the visitors. Highly recommend.

very helpful owners, good dinner with economic price, we spent two fantastic night and one day at Hallstate and beside town, it's deep nice memory for us to stay at there!

The location is superb...a quick walk to the center of town, but far enough away to be very quiet. The view from our balcony was amazing, even in the rain, and the owner gave us excellent suggestions for hiking. We ate dinner here both nights, and would highly recommend it. Fresh food, expertly prepared, and an excellent value!! We will definitely be returning.

I'd prefer a slightly later check out time, but it wasn't really a problem.

Perfect location, excellent service, friendly, helpful staff. Rooms were comfortable and clean, internet fast and free, parking free. Breakfast was included of excellent quality and quantity. Hotel had restaurant that served a quality dinner at a reasonable price.

Wonderful town from fairy tail! Good location near the lake and funicular to the cave, beautiful view to the lake, mountains and typical Austrian village. Friendly owner meets guests and serves breakfast himself. Enough place for parking. Very good breakfast. We were very pleased to stay there.

It´s a good place, all the staff is so kind and helpfull. The breakfast is good. In the future I would like to come back.

- Great location, not in the central of the town but only 5-10 minutes walk with beautiful scene along the way. Peaceful location and free parking in front of the house. You don't have to carry your heavy luggage quite far or up the hill as in center of the town. - Clean and comfortable room with strong signal free WIFI - Nice hosts - Breakfast is included in the room rate and it is really good. Not many options but really in good taste. - Excellent 3-course dinner with only 10 euro! Recommended to anyone who stay there! you should have this! Soup and salad are really good. My husband loves salad here (also at breakfast). Grilled fresh trout fish is excellent. I still dream of it. They also served good dessert. And the price is only 10 euro!

You don't have the lake-viewed room if you stay here. But why you need it? It's only 5 minutes walk to the lake and the hotel scene is also peacefully good.

Set in a quiet location an easy stroll from the busiest part of Hallstatt. Good-sized room with balcony and armchairs. Excellent bathroom . Good breakfast choice. Guests are also offered a 3-course evening meal which is simple but well-cooked food and is excellent value for money.Very friendly owners/family.

The hotel is very clean, and staff are very friendly. The breakfast is very nice! And they even serve rice there. The best part for me is that you can borrow a bike from them. Thank you, it's really a nice staying there.

The single room turns out to be two separated beds in it. I've no problem with that but may be a bit small for some.

I have been here twice and i was so impressed. You will never forget this hotel. Restaurant is very good. All dishes are delicious

Good location. Close to bus stop and the lake. Although don't have the lake view, the room is comfortable, cozy, clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is very good.

Gruner Anger Pension is a excelent location to relax, to recharge the baterry. The arround area is beutefull. From Hallstatt can reach Bad Ischl easy and all other small vilages around the lake.

The breakfast and dinner are great!!!! For the dinner come with good price, I suggest everyone try. If I have chance, I'll be here again.

The double bed is used two single beds together which is hard to sleep at night.

the hotel staffs are so nice! helped me a lot with that, breakfast is good and also their restaurant :) even if it's a bit of walk from Hallstatt-Markt ship station but I will definitely stay at this hotel again when I travel to Hallstatt next time!

it's a bit far away from Hallstatt-Markt ship station, might be a bit of problem if you're with heavy luggages but that's all!

We was at New Year Eve. It was mot a lot of tourists, comfortable and quite))) Personal was very friendly, they told us stories from the city history. I would back again there)))

A fantastic hotel - the owners - extremely kind and welcoming. They even made me a surprize for my birthday. The hotel is very very clean and well maintained - gives you that warm feeling. Its location is perfect - just 15 min walking from the Hallstatt centre and its free parking space takes away the worries where to leave the car, which normally is a bit tricky in the heart of Hallstatt.

It was such a nice experience to live in this hotel. Everything was out of our expectation. The location was nice, just in the very center of the village. Very friendly stuff, who provided a lot convenience to travelers. Breakfast was rich and included in the price. You can also have dinner there almost for free, considering the high price in Hallstatt.

Very nice food, very friendly and helpful owner. Feel at home. The room is absolutely clean and feel at home! Feel very homely and cozy staying there. Good wifi too! Definitely recommended to stay here!!! Do request for room with mountain view. The view is great and tranquil!

Location, is kinda far from the boat quay, however, the owner does provide free shuttle service upon request!

Very nice hotel with a good location, staff and price. Rooms are clean, Wifi is available, Subway is in a few meters from the hotel.
