Hotel Zur goldenen Krone is located at the foot of Göttweig Abbey at the entrance to the Wachau Valley. LAN access and parking are available free of charge. Dating from the early 15th century, this historic building is located directly on the Way of St. James. It is only a short walk away from the historic Benedictine Abbey of Göttweig. Gasthof Zur goldenen Krone serves traditional Austrian cuisine and the well-known wines from the Wachau. Wine tastings take place regularly. In the morning a breakfast buffet with many homemade products such as jams is served. The rooms and the big garden offer views of the abbey. The Danube Bike Trail is only 2 km away and can be reached from Gasthof Hotel Zur goldenen Krone on smaller bike trails. I particularly enjoyed the family atmosphere of the hotel. The restaurant had a pleasant ambiance and a great breakfast. Although the meal menu was rather limited, the food was very tasty. I especially enjoyed their applestudel. The windows didn't have any drapes to provide some privacy.

New modern building,rooms functional and very clean, good continental breakfast buffet, close to bus stop for buses to Krems. Located in beautiful countryside. Rooms very basic:no telephone in the room, no in-room safe,no fridge or mini bar, no toiletries.I Eventually found some sachets with shower gel on a tray in the corridor! The hotel restaurant offers a limited menu, there is no drinks lists and you have no idea of the cost of drinks. Without a car, there is only one other option for dinner within walking distance, as the bus does not run after about 4pm, and one evening the kitchen closed at 6.30 pm as the owner and his wife were going out for the evening!

Gutes Hotel. Bedienung war Chefsache. Er war sehr bemüht, dass alles passt und sehr zuvorkommend. Essen war gut, Frühstück war gut. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Kamers netjes/schoon, goed ontbijt 1. Vrij stugge eigenaar (= erg formeel) 2. Prijs/kwailteit is niet goed. Voor 112 euro per 2p./kamer verwacht je veel meer. in het dorpje valt niet veel te belevent, behalve dan een bezoek aan het mooie klooster (= stift) boven op de berg 3. Eten en drinken in het hotel is duur 4. Geen gespecifeerde rekening van het eten/drinken (aantallen drankjes zonder prijs p/stuk worden op een kladje gescheven) 5. 10% opslag waneer je per creditkaart betaalt. ! Dit staat niet in de boekingsvoorwaarden. Gelukkig kan je aan de overkant van het hotel bij de bank cash geld pinnen 6. Wat ons betreft is dit hotel beslist géén aanrader

Schönes großes Zimmer mit Ausgang in einen großen Garten, herrliche Aussicht. Einrichtung einfach und funktional. Frühstück gut, wobei die köstliche marillenmarmeeladr besonders hervorzuheben ist.

בעל המלון נחמד מאוד, חיכה לנו עד שעה מאוחרת בה הגענו. ארוחת הבוקר הייתה עשירה מאוד ומצויינת. חדר נעים , נקי ומסודר.

Das Zimmer war ganz neu und sehr sauber. Der Gasthof, in dem das Frühstücksbuffet sich befindet ist alt, muffig und Spinnweben hängen an den Stühlen!

Neu renoviertes Hotel in ruhiger Lage mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Für Wachaureisende empfehlenswerter Standort, da etwas abseits vom großen Toristenstrom bei gleichzeitig guter Erreichbarkeit von Göttweig, Krems, Dürnstein etc. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden sicher wieder kommen.

Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr höflich und hilfsbereit, man hat sich gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Das Frühstück war sehr gut mit hausgemachten Produkten (Saft, Kuchen)

sehr schöne, geräumige Zimmer in modernem Design im angebauten neuen Trakt, die Zimmer gehen in den ruhigen grünen Garten hinaus - zum Wohlfühlen! das Restaurant (Stil muffiges altes Landwirtshaus), wirkt in diesem Fall jedoch eher stark abgewohnt, denn "interessanter Kontrast". der Wirt ist überaus freundlich. alles in allem ein gutes Haus für ein Wochenende. das Restaurant
