We had read some bad reviews but were pleasantly surprised. We were greeted by a pleasant young lady and she and her colleague were very helpful in advising us on free parking. The room was clean even though some (but not all) of the furniture looked a little shabby. What sold it to me was that the shower room and toilet (separate) were modern and very clean. Also the bedding was immaculate. At breakfast we met the older lady who, to begin with, appeared 'dour' but turned out to be very pleasant and helpful with directions to the airport.. This is a 2 star accommodation (with a lift) right at the heart of the old city and you get what you pay for. We would stay there again if getting an early flight from Linz. Carpets and some furniture could do with replacing.

In the centre of the old town, on pedestrianised road. Traditional styled place with a nice old feel to it, especially the dining room. Very close to the Danube River and walkable from the station. Standard buffet style breakfast, though it is partly served to you. No fault of the hotel, but on a hot Friday night in August there was some distant noise (thumping music and shouting) from the Altstadt bars and clubs, all with their doors and windows open because of the heat, that seemed to go on until about 4 a.m. The "night economy" wrecks many a good night's sleep in many towns in many countries now.

Central to see Linz this is not a place to stay if you want quiet night sleep with noisy party goers at local bars until 4pm in morning. Accommodation is nothing special and I did not like staff smoking. My door card was unreliable taking usually 3 attempts to open door. I would not stay here again. Central location for sightseeing

The very centre of the site, all sightseeings within a walking distance. Family run hotel, friendly atmosphere. Pub on the ground floor is closed at 10 pm, no noise during night. There is no own parking lot, parking is possible either at Donau river banks (paid between 8 am till 6 pm) or in the public underground garage 200 m far from hotel reception.

Preise i.O.!

Staff was very friendly and helpful Hotel is located above a German resturaunt. We accessed hotel either through the resteraunt or a side entrance that also was supply closet for resteraunt. There was no front desk and resturaunt staff also ran hotel. The odor of the resteraunt kitchen would rise up to the top floor where our room was located!
