Gjaid Alm is set 1,740 metres above sea level, 400 metres away from the upper station of the Krippenstein Cable Car. It offers rustic rooms with free access to Wi-Fi and a restaurant. A sauna can be used against a surcharge. Guests can benefit from direct slope-access and a small children's lift which is 10 metres away. A ski storage room is available on site. Ski equipment can be rented on request. Surrounded by lush meadows and mountains, Gjaid Alm guest house features a sunny terrace with mountain views. The restaurant offers regional and vegetarian dishes in the dining area or on the terrace. Packed lunches are available on request. Guests can relax in the on-site meditation room; participate in a Qi Gong class or a meditation weekend. Alphorn courses are also offered. The Gjaid Alm is only reachable by cable car or in a 4-hour walk from Obertraun. It is not possible to reach the Alm by car. During summer guests can hike in the immediate vicinity. Lake Hallstatt can be reached within 8.7 km. Upon request, Gjaid Alm can transfer baggage from the cable car station to the Alm. The location is good. It is the starting point of many excusions in the mountains. Our reservation in booking.com was 60.20 euros, but in Gjaid Alm they charged 98.25 euros when we left the hostel. They told us that what we booked in booking.com is not possible, and they had to include also the dinner. Also, they didn't believe the price of our reservation in booking.com. I think this is not serious. Which kind of control they have about their reservations? Moreover they lied to us, because they told us during the check in that our reservation in booking.com included the dinner, but this was not true.

Uzasne okoli. Chata v klasickem horskem stylu. Zadny luxus. Ale prave to je super. Snidane byla trochu chuda. Cerstve housky zmizely temer okamzite a nebyly doplneny. Zbyval tedy "tuhy" chleba a nakrajena veka. Je lepsi prijit na snidani co nejdriv. Podobny problem u vecere. Byla celkem k jidlu, ale jenom jedno jidlo, self service. Kdyz mate male decka, muzete mit problem, protoze neni mozne jim dat neco jineho. Coz byl nas pripad. Nastesti se najedli k obedu na svahu.

Optimal gelegen für eine 2-Tages-Wanderung am Dachstein-Plateau. Die MitarbeiterInnen waren allesamt nett und zuvorkommend - Sauna und Abendessen nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit waren kein Problem :) Das gebuchte Doppelzimmer war im Endeffekt ein umfunktioniertes 4er-Zimmer. Angesichts der Aussicht und des familiären Ambientes war das allerdings kein Problem. Großgewachsene Menschen (>1,85m) werden in den Betten nicht umhinkommen, etwas schräg zu liegen.

Van belang is te weten dat het een berghut betreft en niet een regulier hotel. De verwachtingen dienen hierop afgestemd te worden. Het is een prima ,maar uiterst sober onderkomen.

Nadherne misto, klasicka vysokohorska chata od ktere nelze cekat zazraky (spacaky a prezuvky doporucuju vlastni), jidlo slusne, obsluha mila, terasa na rozjimani uzasna Chata by potrebovala poradne vygruntovat, toalety nejsou na pokoji, sprchy jsou spolecne a na zetony, postele vrzou - ale celkove to zas takova hruza neni, proste standard
