The location of this hotel is perfect. The staff are professional yet so friendly. Even umbrellas are provided when needed. Nikon makes a great omelette to order at breakfast if you purchase that option. The arrangement with the bar next door for after hours reception is quirky but fun.
The smoke from the Coffee and Booze filled the hallways of the hotel nightly. The doors to the hotel rooms kept the smoke out...luckily.
Location was great, easy access to sites of interest & on street with lots of cafés / shops Service was excellent
Cafe below window was noisy at night time
Location Bathroom was excellent Enjoyed our stay
The room could have done with some refurbishment.
Good location to the old town and transport. Helpful staff.
Friendly manager; excellent location
Good spacious rooms
Very noisy locality. Very difficult to get a good night's sleep
The hotel was clean and comfortable. The room and bathroom was large. The location was convenient to Salzburg sites on both sides of the river.
The people on the street were very noisy at night. A room near the back may be better if available.
Really nice and clean bathroom, fitted with modern fittings Clean and spacious rooms Free coffee and tea
The church bells right next to the hotel gets a bit annoying Parking is quite far away and expensive
Everything including the willingness of the counter attendant to assist with our lost luggage on Air Berlin. That'll be a different review!
Location was great, close to to places to visit. Room was clean. Staff available and polite. Free good coffee was a real bonus. We got a room in the back, not facing the street.
There is a church in the proximity of the hotel. The bells of the church may disturb in the early morning. It was not a problem for us. there is no air conditioning. On hot days that could be a problem.
location! so easy to reach, a few steps from public parking wonderful area in old downtown with all you need within few steps away, including Salzburg main attracktions loved the garden, and the special suite we had in the back, very modern good breakfast in a nice ambience
We both found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was gorgeous, particularly the wonderful garden in the back. We ate our breakfast and drank coffee there each morning. It was very relaxing and peaceful. The free coffee was also very good. Finally, the location was perfect.
The shower was difficult for us to use without making a mess. Also, without AC, it was slightly warm. These are relatively minor complaints for us though.
We hired "room 41". Quite, spacious, and beautifully renovated. Everything was clean and well maintained. The bathroom was exceptional.
It could get rather warm with no A/C but leaving the windows open proved to be a good fix.
Good location and nice rooms.
The churchbells just outside the hotel starts ringing at seven in the morning ans then every 15 minute, so bring earplugs!
The location is great in that it is just across the river from the old town of Salzburg, with cafes and a supermarket in the street.
There was a lack of staff at reception and there is a church opposite, where the bells start to ring at 6am or 7am! There are bars in the street so it was noisy on Friday night with drinkers below.
Luxurious bed & linens, light fresh spacious room, enormously helpful & charming hosts. A real sanctuary to come home to.
Truthfully - Cannot think of 1 thing
Service and location
Noisy and smoky hallways Hooks in room would be helpful
The gentle man in reception desk was more than welcoming and helpfull. They took care of everything even they booked us the trip for sound of music and stopped the bus till we go. Real nice people and defenitly I will staying in the same hotel in my next visit. Also location is maginificant.
Great location near shops, restaurants, and attractions. Well stocked bar with sidewalk tables and umbrellas. WiFi access throughout hotel. Comfortable bed/clean linens. Key locks vice cards. Well kept interior.
No Air Conditioning or fans. Waste water very noisy in pipes. No refrigerator. Vent in bathroom opens to hallway, where sounds both ways can be heard clearly.
Location is central and within walking distance to many sites of interest. Spacious room. Lovely private outdoor terrace out the back for hotel patrons.
Beautiful old building in the heart of old Salzburg. It was so easy to go out a site see while then coming back to rest for a few hours. it is about 1 mile away from the train station and much less than that to most of the attractions. We did not have to use any transportation except our feet.
Great location, on the pedestrianised Linzergasse, with the Altstadt an easy stroll away. Comfy beds, everything worked fine. Our room even had a sunken bath, which was an unexpected luxury!
Loved the layout of the apartment #202 which was in a different location from the actual hotel. Large living room, 2 sofas, a grand piano, full kitchen and dining table. Large windows that opened up to the pedestrian area.
HATED the noise from about 1 a.m. through 3/4 a.m. Slept with windows open because it was warm and there was no a/c in the apartment. I understand it's a college town and there are lots of students, but come on, 3 a.m. and people are basically standing under our window and not talking loudly, but SCREAMING! It went on and on for hours! Stayed 2 nights and slept a total of about 6 hours for both nights. There should be police presence at that hour of the morning to keep them at least moving and not standing still for an hour and talking (screaming) about nonsense right under our windows. Can't imagine how people live in that pedestrian area and deal with it nightly during the summer.
Make sure you don't get the room right above the bar, very noisy. Asked to be moved the next day and the new room was much better.
