Hotel Goldener Hirsch - A Luxury Collection Hotel    

Service was impeccable, from the front desk to the waitstaff. Rooms were plush with huge bathrooms, terrycloth robes/slippers and turndown service. Location could not have been better; the hotel is right in the middle of Salzburg and if you're taking the Sound of Music tour, they pick you up in the lobby.

No complaints. Valet parking is not cheap, but definitely worth the $35 euro for the sheer easiness of it all.

The staff was very friendly, helpfull and pleasing. Accomodation and location couldn't be better. I'm totaly in love with this nice hotel and will definetly recomend it to my friends.

Well the price is not cheap, of course. But it worth it. So there's nothing I didn't like ;)

Very traditional Austrian hotel on a pedestrianised road in the heart of Salzburg, but also just that perfect bit away from the main foot traffic. Beautiful decor, wonderfully historic and extremely comfortable.

Didn't quite understand the temperature control, but it worked regardless. Had to use AC, despite the freezing cold outside!

Traditional Austrian luxury supported by excellent motivated staff. The attention to detail is admirable. The hotel location is in the old town of Salzburg and so close to all the sites.

Central location

Given a smoking room with two single beds pushed together instead of a double, and across street from main hotel. And breakfast a rip-off.

This hotel is in the old town of Salzburg. It has old world charm about it. Our room was spacious, well fitted out and very comfortable. The decor is definitely not modern, but more fitting to the area it is located in. We enjoyed our stay in the hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

The only down side was the fact that wasn't any tea making facilities.

Great hotel, though a bit pathetic. Lived three days in a classic twin room. Comfortable spacious room in the old building (as in other and all in the old city of Salzburg). Forced ventilation in the bathroom and the toilet when you turn on the light. Excellent signal wireless Internet. Helpful staff. Special thanks to the young clerk Jass from Holland (we met on the day of arrival)

First, the car park is not located next to the hotel (although the hotel description says that it is private parking on-site), and two kilometers away. Serves to drive away your car to the parking lot by the hotel staff. When asked if the car will need to take something, the answer is, call the front desk and within 20 minutes the car will drive on to the hotel (or bring the necessary thing.) In general, very embarrassing. But five minutes from the hotel there is a public car park (where: at 14 euros a day, in contrast to the hotel car park.) The closest exit to the hotel - a 5 minute walk. Second, a very meager breakfast (buffet). Eggs or omelette is not in principle (unless a separate order for the money). 3 days is very tired, and the surrounding cafes are open from 11-00 am And third, in the description of the hotel had no knowledge that it consists of 2 buildings (in sneakers do not come for breakfast)

The only thing is the stiff bed..it should be looked at because onestly it is the only negative thing about this place.

The location was amazing enabling us to enjoy this wonderful city in a very short space of time. The staff were also very helpful.

We chose it as booking.com said it was a five star hotel. We were on honeymoon and driving long distances every day so we wanted pampering luxury a d above all comfortable beds. Honeymoon couples do not want two single beds pushed together. We were told we had been given a two level upgrade so lord only knows what room we would have been given. The room was basic and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. This is not a five star hotel but the prices are.

A 700 year old building with atmosphere.....fantastic location on the getreidegasse could not be bettered. It was raining and we used big hotel umbrellas repeatedly. Has an attached atmospheric restaurant s'Herzl very authentic and good Austrian fare. Reasonably priced. Beware of other attached restaurant which is very expensive.....

In house breakfast extremely expensive - we ate elsewhere each morning but because of fantastic location, no problem.

The staff was excellent. Very attentive and accomodating.

We would have liked the convenience and ambiance of having breakfast in the hotel. But the prices were unreasonable, given that the menu items were comparable to what had been provided at no charge at other hotels we stayed at during our trip (Germany and Austria). Instead we walked 100 meters and had a nicer breakfast at half the price, still in the Altstadt part of Salzburg.

Everything! The hotel is very unique with lots of antigue and great design given the fact that it used to be a stable and now turn into a very cute place with a theme. The location can't be beat, right in the heart of old town and walkable to the opposite site of the river and the Mirabell Garden, etc. All of the staff are very friendly and nice and we feel like they are very happy working here. My special compliment goes to Werfen who went out of his way to make us happy although he didn't have to but he was just happy to service customers. This is my second time in this hotel and I have no regret.

The Staff at the Goldener Hirsch really know how to run a hotel. This place just charming. I can't say enough about this hotel. The location in the old town of Salzburg is perfect. The staff was very helpful booking the sound of music tour for my mother 80 year old and I. When you are in Salzburg book the Goldener Hirsch. You will not be disappointed.

Das Frühstücksbuffet: Wir sind seitens des Frühstückpersonals nicht im notwendigen Ausmass auf die einzelnen Frühstücksvarianten hingewiesen worden. Man gewann den Eindruck, dass dies gar nicht gewünscht ist. So nach dem Motto: Der unwissende Kunde bezahle pro Frühstück den Maximalpreis von € 32,-- ohne auf alle darin inkludierten Leistungen explizit hingewiesen worden zu sein. Unabhängig davon entspricht das Frühstücksangebot keinem 5-Sterne-Niveau!

建物の質感、部屋の広さ、家具などの調度品、カラヤンはじめこれまでこのホテルを使った有名人の写真など、- 数百年の伝統を感じさせる素晴らしさ。まるで博物館のような建物で、快適さも確保されています。特にフロン- トのベテラン女性スタッフが親切。モーツァルトの生家まで徒歩数分。観光にもベストロケーションだと思いま- す。もう一度泊まりたいホテルです。

あえて言うなら、エレベータを使っても部屋にたどり着くまでに階段を使わなければならないこと。古い建物で- すからやむを得ないですが、ボストンバッグなど大きな荷物はホテルスタッフに手伝ってもらった方がいいです- 。
