Our **** Hotel - Garni is a family enterprise, which has been run for over 110 years by the family "Goritschnigg".
We are located in the center of Velden, near the Casino Velden, reachable by a small side road.
That's the reason why our hotel is situated centrally but also very tranquil.

Our rooms look on the small side road or on the our litte "Feng Shui" garden.

Besides our hotel, the family "Goritschnigg" also run our own butcher's shop, where you get the best liver loaf in Kärnten and the "GoritschniGG's" (at midday a place where you can buy cheap and good diner and snacks and at evening where you get the best steaks in Kärnten).

Our hotel**** Garni is being run with love and individuality.

The Hotel offers you 13 rooms, thereof 4 appartements, 2 single rooms and 7 double rooms, divided in 2 storeys.

From our own parking place, you go directly to our reception, where you can check in from 07:00 to 21:30.
All our rooms include breakfast buffet, which you can get from 07:00 to 11:00 all the week including the best specialities from our own butcher's shop.

In the summer, where we have beautiful and warm weather, you can go the lido of Velden.

Food & beverage

Our own butcher offers the best variety of sausages, the finest selection of meats and a daily lunch - everything home-made with a love for small details.

Our restaurant will open on April 25, 2008 and will be open daily from 10:00.

Room information

All rooms have an ensuite bathroom with either shower or bath. They are equipped with all common facilities including a cosy seating area and free of charge W-LAN.

Area information

Hotel Goritschnigg is located in the heart of Velden, a town in the district of Villach-Land (Carinthia), which has many leisure facilities and restaurants.

A Casino, several golf and tennis courts as well as a surf-and sailing school are within walking distance.

Guests can do various sports activities at Lake Wörthersee or explore the stunning surroundings during a hiking tour.

Travel information

By Car:
- On the A2 Villach-Klagenfurt motorway, take the exit towards Velden-West.
- At the end of the motorway exit, leave the large roundabout via the 2nd exit towards Velden.
- Continue directly to the Zentrum Velden: Villacherstraße.
- Follow the road and at the Casino Velden, turn left into the one-way street before the Schlecker shop.

From the Velden-Ost exit:
- At the end of the road, turn right towards Zentrum Velden.
- Follow the main road: Klagenfurter Straße, until you see the hotel Hubertushof on your left-hand side.
- Directly after that, turn right at the corner of the Schlecker shop and into the one-way street.

Important information

The reception is open daily from 07:00 to 22:00. In case of early or late arrival, please contact the hotel.

Earlier departure and/or breakfast is possible on request, after consultation with the reception.

You will enjoy free access to the lido of Velden during its opening hours, including sunshade, deck chair and beach towel.

From April to October, you can buy the Kärnten Card separately in our hotel (prices for children and adults vary).
