I like the room as well as location. Since the room wasn't ready so we went for shopping. At 5:30 we tried to get the room to relax for our fly the next day. So we get the card and they said our lauguages in the room. But we had problem to get in the room because there was a technical issue with the door so we couldn't get in. I took the kids for walking again until the staff fix it. After more than an hour I went again and ask the recepiontist about the issue , he replied go yourself and ask technion about the room and he was laughing with other employees in the front desk. And I replied that you will ask him and let me know when I can get in the room. He was unbelievable and impolite. It was only one night to try this hotel but I hate it because that employee.

The hotel is a beautiful building and our room was excellent. The location is just a five minute walk from the Opera House, and the main city centre. My view of this hotel is let down by the lack of service. On arrival there was no greeting, no offer of assistance. Although the receptionist was pleasant she was on her own and as such there was a wait for customers waiting to book in and out. During our stay the lobby staff were more interested in talking and laughing amongst themselves then actually doing their job. Not something you would expect from a hotel of this standing.

A lovely, luxurious hotel in a perfect location - next to the Opera House and opposite the Musikverein, the concert hall. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and we really enjoyed our stay there.

This is a very stately and elegant hotel. The concierge was very helpful on a number of occasions that we needed tickets/information. Room service was generally quite fast. The room was clean and well-kept. Minor issues such as not being left floor mats for the shower, waiting on one occasion for nearly an hour for some ice (no ice machines on any of the floors - however, most times during our stay we waited no longer than three to ten minutes for service). And the turn-down service, which was quite nice, was offered at about 5:30 to 6:00 PM, well before it was necessary or required. All minor annoyances that were not a big deal (or shouldn't be)..

Great location; central for sightseeing and shopping. We felt that the food was not as good as it was made out to be. Breakfast service was a bit chaotic at times with long waits to be served and wrong orders/ items forgotten etc. Coffee was not freshly made. In the bathroom the bottles of shower gel and shampoo were so tightly fastened that we were unable to open them and replacements were the same so we had to make other arrangements!

Centrally located, within a short working distance to Opera and the Central Cathedral. Nice interior, friendly personnel. The restaurant on the first floor was good, but not excellent in terms of taste of the dishes. If you have a chance - go and have a breakfast at Sacher Hotel which is a 5 mins walk from this hotel - we were impressed by the interior and atmosphere there (but it's much more expensive vs. Grand Hotel Wien). The rooms are not very big, but overall comfortable. A bit overpriced, especially the bar and mini-bar.

Helpful, courteous and eager staff. Best breakfast ever! No spa: not even a sauna. Bedroom not easy to cool to appropriate temperature for sleeping (ask for the window to be unlocked and opened at night).

Location is fantastic! Just a two blocks from the Musikverein and to the State Opera. And a few more to Holfburg. Excelente restaurants in the hotel. Staff is very helpful. Concierge had excellent suggestions for restaurants. He also ordered tickets and had them delivered at the hotel.

First of all the location was very good. Also the fact that we had an undergorund parking was very good (but the price for the parking and the fact that the bell-boy was waiting all the time for big tips was not so good). The breakfast was very expensive... In the room, they gave us during 5 days of staying only one bottle of still water - in the first day (the price/night was very expensive: more than 350 Euro/night) Very bad for the price and for the 5 stars services. We had one exclusive king room and in one day in the evening, after the dinner, we found in our room one technical ladder and also half of the ceiling of the room open. No notice from the Reception, nothing. We called at the reception and they didn't know anyting about this. Wow.. 5 stars services.. Forgt about it... Also, in the same room, one wall hanger was broken.. Also in other day, even if we had Do not Disturb on the door, the CLeaning Lady entered in the room without any problems... Wow.. 5 stars services... I will never recommend this hotel to any of my friends... Never...

The best service ever, excellent location. Staff were friendly and very professional . I wish other hotels would learn from grand Wien. Location: state opera + the ring tram + hop on hop off bus are just less than 5 minute walk. Karntner, graben is less than 5 minutes they're full of rest., Cafe and shops. A shopping mall is connected to the hotel. Towels and bathrobe were rough
