This is a luxury hotel in a very convenient situation; ideally situated for walking to the opera, sight seeing or shopping. The staff were very polite, friendly yet professional. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and lacked nothing.
Unless one has a massive appetite and can eat a huge breakfast, it is too expensive, and the a la carte menu has a limited choice. The continental breakfast is also expensive for what one gets and not very exciting .
I have liked the location of the hotel, very close all needed places. Suites are very specious and clean
Very helpful staff, particularly concierge who assisted in getting medical attention and also recommending/arranging sightseeing. Efficiently run, beautifully maintained property with lovely, well-appointed rooms. Good breakfast, location perfect for shopping, shows, sightseeing and restaurants.
The fitness room was a little smaller than anticipated, but reasonably equipped.
The staffs were great at all the time
The parking is quite expensive Not connection room available even the request was made by the telephone prior
Location, bell guys are very friendly
Reception. Rude and slow
Nothing and the staff is verey roud
Ambience, decor, bathroom, attentiveness of cleaning staff, staff being friendly throughout the visit
Thought the bedroom was quite small compared with the advert, the hotel seemed quite deserted and we thought it might have been possible to have a larger room
The lobby bar and outdoor cafe!!
My friend got sick in Vienna and he was staying in a junior suite. He had no chance to leave the room. Reception told us that room was sold, hotel was full and we had to move to a bigger suite if we wanted, by paying extra 1000 euro per night. I made the reservation from booking.com and they gave us the same room which they told us that it was already sold! One should be careful with this hotel staff. If they see you that you are in hard situation, they will try to benefit out of that. Plus, the corridors were smelling a strange odor. And mostly they use trainees as the staff and this lowers the quality too much. I understand that they try to minimize the cost, but guys, c'mon, this is not a hostel, a 5 star hotel.
Everything specially location
Poor Internet. You have to log in very frequently.
The staff were excellent. The location was excellent and the hotel itself was beautiful.
The only thing i didn't like was that i wasn't there longer.
The location was great. Lobby was beautiful.
Room was ok, pretty small for the amount of money.
Great staff, friendly, helpful. Rooms are large with every amenity. It would be great to have Netflix available in Austria. Very limited television options...not what you want to be doing in Europe but great in a down minute
The hardest bed in the world. I actually think the floor would be softer. Hard to rest which is very important while on vacation.
The smell of rooms, the carpets need to be cleaned
Everything was perfection! I would return to Vienna just to stay in the Grand Hotel Wien!!
The location of the hotel.
The breakfast is overpriced and selection poor. Some of the rooms are small and furniture and carpet is stained. The turn down service skipped our room.
Gentelmen's bar is closed,very inconvenient.
good location, helpful staff, stylish building, clean.
- excellent location - very well furnished and equipped room - excellent service
very traditional, good bathroom, nice helpful staff, excellent location
The location, the staff and the room.
The Charm of the building
Ac is not that powerful
The staff and particularly the concierge was exceptionally helpful and made our stay a pleasure. The concierge recommended a ballet and symphony which were the best we have ever experienced. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated. The bed was sumptuous. I would stay here on any trip to Vienna.
The hotel hosts many guests which require great security which can be a pain coming and going sometimes.
Decor Staff Comfortable bed Quiet room Superb food
Smell of cigarettes & cigars wafting into the main foyer
