Score from 1401 reviews Wonderful
- clean bathroom - staff very helpful with train times and points of interest - bedside controlled black-out curtains
- bathroom smelled a little musty - all lights were off, and only one outlet worked during part of the day (two consecutive days)
The location could not be better directly conected to the train station via the underpass to the hotel elevator. This brings you to the reception All of the staff was very polite and very helpfull A great hotel to stAy in
Good location and breakfast
Not so quiet.
Room was comfortable and the parking was very close and easy to access. Brunch was very good.
Dinner in the restaurant was not our favorite. We tried "traditional" Austrian fare and we didn't care for the food or the prices. The wait staff were a bit pretentious.
We were in our honeymoon and the hotel had prepared for us a very nice decoration in the room with complimentary wine and fruits. Stuff was very helpful and polite.
central location high tech lighting etc in rooms service from staff relaxed atmosphere (not a stuffy 5 star establishment) plenty of lifts to rooms interesting old photos and canvases
parking quite expensive although on site dinner (at extra cost) expensive
If you are not queen Elizabeth or Sting or Rolling Stones maybe you should consider avoiding this place. I booked this hotel for 3 nights on booking.com expecting good service given the people who stayed here. But I was completely disappointed. On arrival we were given a small room on the noisy roadside even though we were travelling with a child. The shower area was separated with a cheap worn out curtain. It looked worse than a staff or 2 star hotel toilet. I called reception requesting them to change the room only to hear that they are full. Then my husband figured out that the bathroom door lock was broken. So I went down to reception to inform. There happened to be a woman manager who categorically told me that "lock is not broken' without even bothering to check it. I was shocked at her dismissive attitude towards a customer who just drove all the way from Vienna to innsbruck. Her lack of compassion was striking and she should not be in the hospitality industry. Then Eric the other guy at the reception came up to the room with me and admitted that the lock was broken. Any other hotel would have given an upgrade immediately for this. But they put me in another room on teh backside of the hotel with a smaller bathroom with tub even though we requested for a showerarea. There was no apology from the woman manager for bring rude and judgmental literally denying our version of the broken lock. Eric was a saviour and the ONLY helpful staff. For breakfast we found bread being served which had fungus on it. I saw it just whn I was about to put it into my daughter's mouth. However they changed the bread and the entire breadspread lying at the buffet had to be changed.
The staff is very rude except Eric. They allow booking on other websites but don't provide service to customers who do not have direct booking. The hotel is not old world charm at all and it should strike out 2 stars from its 4 stars rating. Rude racial prejudiced staff. Noisy rooms on streetside. Unhygeinic food
Everything except English speaking TV program's non existing . Girl at front desk even offered help to us taking our cases across road to train station. Will highly recommend this hotel to our friends. Room and bathroom great
Nothing about this hotel could you not like.
Very close to station, very good breakfast, easy walk to old town, very friendly and helpful staff, good views of the mountains.
Hard to keep the room temperature down so a bit warm at night.
interesting, old school room no hassle wifi parking breakfast
The location of this historic hotel, across from the Banhof, might lead you to believe that it's old and noisy. Not so! Renovated within the past 4 years, modern amenities and quiet comfort are the standard. One floor has rooms renovated to look historically correct. Breakfast was diverse and plentiful, and the lobby bar was lively. Overall, excellent location and world class service. We were sorry we only stayed one night and look forward to a return trip.
All was just fine
The room size was extremely small.
A very good Hotel. Nice bikes ;)
Very good service
Bathroom not being private. Paid for parking but was not asked for ticket to be validated for exit from carpark caused confusion and lost time.
Excellent! Value for money. Friendly staff and comfort bed? Good location, it just opposite the train station.
Good location and easy to find. The room is big and clean, esp the bathroom. The staff is helpful and the many kinds of food and drinks for breakfast. We stayed there only for one night but got a very good impression of the hotel.
Good location for town and sites but just opposite station which important for trip.
5 star bar prices but what do you expect.
Extremely Comfortable Beds Spacious Rooms Large Bathroom Junior Suite was beautiful Really good breakfast Good location Staff were very helpful
Poor Wi-Fi access
Good location, the Altstadt is near but not too near. Our standard room in the hotel was great (spacious and comfortable). You can park in the garage of the Hbf, which has a direct connection to the hotel.
WiFi is slow and had from time to time problems.
The location across from the station and proximity to the city meant we could walk everywhere. The staff were pleasant and the room was comfortable. The breakfast was very good.
The wifi was patchy and came and went. Our room was a bit dark in how it was located in the hotel.
The Service of the Concierge!!!
That the hotelgarage was a public garage
The staff had obviously been trained to a high degree. Their command of English was superb and nothing was too much trouble.
Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Their clients come first. Hotel is conveniently located near the train station and walking distance to Old Towne and many sights. If we ever go back, we would stay there again.
Great location, wonderful staff very helpful & friendly nice room, always clean but could have been brighter
the bar area was poor & basic the breakfast was average
