Excellent position. Clean. No cupboard nor drawer chest in room, only a few hangers in the open. One has to live "out of the suitcase", so to say. Wash basin in the middle of the room, old style, no hot/cold water mixer. Decoration of the room a bit frightful, walls are in "row" state, an architect´s whim surely.

Trendy - wacky hotel Too trendy, too wacky - staff un-attentive bordering on rude. Trendy shower flooded room. No bar to speak of , no comfortable seating areas - cold and trendy - in my personal view focuses on being trendy over and above the customer.

Hotel with style and tradition, in a great location with parking. Varied breakfast, friendly staff. In principle, a very favorable impression. Lack of Graz tourist materials - leaflets, guides and foreign Press.

Good location in the centre of town. Cool decor and good views. Parking nearby. Good for a couple on a romantic weekend brake. After looking at different room types we upgraded at the hotel to the extra room (139 Euro per night) The superior double was too small and only had a shower - in the room. Cool decor at the cost of comfort and practicability. Eg. no mini bar, no safe, no tea/coffee making facilities, no wardrobe or draws to put your clothes in. You can have a bath in the middle of your hotel room with nice views over the town centre but you have to live out of your suitcase or a repainted old cupboard which obviously was acommodating the minibar before. Overall we expected more for the best (and expensive) type of room in a 5 star hotel that did not even have a bell boy or anyone to carry our luggage (or at least offer) :-(

We have stayed at this hotel before it was taken over and refurbished. It is well located, very clean and parking is very convenient. We stayed in a superior room and it was quite large. For a 5* hotel the service was very poor and the staff quite dis- interested and not as professional as those we encountered on our visit before the hotel was taken over. There were no hand towels in the room and no disposable slippers, very necessary as the rooms are not carpeted. The shower cubicle is close to the bed and has no door to prevent splashing on to the floor outside.

The size of the rooms and shower were outstanding, however they do need a shower door to eliminate the splatter. The hotel rooms were definitely unique, but mighty clean and neat. The location to the old town is perfectly located across the bridge (less than 5 mins). Its close to a good restaurant and the staff was very nice. The convenience of another restaurant in the hotel was available to include a good variety for breakfast. Again, parking is one reason for the selection and it was tight, but our Volvo xc90 fit fine.

Within a few minutes walk of city centre, restaurants, sights, museums, galleries, tram route. Bedroom well supplied with hanging and shelf space Friendly helpful staff Menus going back to 1904 were displayed on corridor walls as reminders of its days as a Grand Hotel Advance info mentioned only 15 euro buffet breakfast. Slightly off putting for those who only need coffee and croissant, which was readily available at cafes a few yards away. Soap dispensers in bathroom not well placed for bath, and not at all easy to use

The location is very good, just 100 m from the old town and the main dinning and shopping area! The breakfast was good, the staff at the reception really nice! The room was big and confortable enough for one night....a plus is also the quite cheap parking space..10 Euros per night! The overall feeling was that the hotel needs a refurbishment...frankly speaking it is very outdated! And by no mean is it a 5 stars hotel...i wouldn't say it's even a 4 stars one...we chose this hotel because of the price ( but it was a limited time offer) and for it's location!

The Hotel has a very good location, the rooms are spacious and clean and the breakfast -which was included in our deal - was amazing! We did not use any of the spa facilities because of lack of time, I am sure they would have been fab too.

Only location is excellent. Hotel rooms are old and furnitures as well as bathroom utilities are old and more then depreciated. Room we've got were with the window to the internal small patio with a noise from restaurant and another one window was leading directly to the ventilation machinery located on the small roof (doing a lot of noise during the night). Hotel is not worth of the money we paid at all.

The room, the breakfast, and the restaurant were really nice. It may be a small point. When I made my reservation I requested a late checkout. My need is for my wife's heath. The hotel advertisements on site implied that it was more that welcome to obtain a late checkout. However, when I asked the desk, the request was denied. It is difficult to imagine that a 1 to 2 hour late checkout would be difficult to accommodate. At almost every other hotel my request is granted.

The hotel was well located and our spacious twin-bedded room had a lovely river view. The reception staff were very helpful indeed. The breakfast room and buffet breakfast (included) were very good and we enjoyed an excellent evening meal in the dining room. We particularly liked the decoration and style of the hotel. We were pleased to have access to a PC with wi-fi however an additional PC would have been helpful due to the demand. The weighing scales in the room was a good idea but unfortunately they were not accurate so could not be relied upon. The hotel unfortunately did not have an alternative to offer us which was difficult as we had to check weights of our luggage for air travel.

The location of this hotel was its best feature. Being just across the river from the old town and the main tram lines stop around the corner, made this a very convenient place to stay. Use of the internet was easy and no trouble at all. Doors to work out room, sauna, etc. were left unlocked, easily accessible to public without use of keys. My room had rather a shabby appearance. It faced a wall, which made it necessary to turn the lights on during the day. After two days I became accustomed to the extremely loud squeaky floor boards and the squeaky bathroom door, though the incessant running water in the toilet tank as well as drippy faucets struck me as being wasteful and non eco-friendly, definitely not something to excuse. This particular room was probably over-priced, especially since breakfast was not included.
