Reasonably well located but not in the old town as we originally believed. Clean and comfortable. Unusually quiet for its position. Easy access to shopping areas and old town. Not far from Hotel Sacher and its famous `torte'. Staff helpful and discreet. Had a lovely lunch at the bar/restaurant on arrival.

Easy walking distance to Altstadt, cool room design, nice quiet room, good parking facilities, pleasant breakfast room with very luxurious breakfast, free internet. The hotel has nice touches, like bowls of apples everywhere that guests are encouraged to take.

Our (superior) room was not huge, but was well laid out, had everything we needed, with a very comfortable bed. The roof top spa is a hidden delight. Again, not large, but with a lovely atmosphere. Breakfast was good, with an interesting and healthy selection. There are other interesting little public areas, each decorated well and with it's special purpose. Wifi in the bedrooms is free and excellent. We would stay again.

The price was very reasonable for the close location to "Old Town" Salzburg. Secondly, our room was simple but very comfortable and clean. The front staff was very friendly when dealing with questions. Lastly, the free Wifi and morning breakfast was a plus. I would highly recommend this Hotel to everyone from single travelers to families. Thank you for a most comfortable stay.

It was a beautiful room in a beautiful hotel in a beautiful city. We stayed in the villa and enjoyed a spacious room on the 3rd floor. The room was very well equipped, very comfortable with lots of nice touches to make us feel at comfortable and a little pampered. There were lots of small touches that were very nice, umbrellas for guest use, non-alcoholic beverages, and a borrowing library of games, movies, etc plus more and more. The staff was very helpful and friendly and even brushed the snow off our car each morning which was a pleasant surprise! The spa/steam rooms were very nice... it was perfect for warming up after a day out in the snow. The breakfasts were very good in their lovely dining room, and made to order eggs with bacon or ham were also offered. This hotel exceeded all of our expectations in just about every way. Highly recommended!

The location is about a 10-or-so minute walk to the old town area, but the quality and comfort of this hotel (including the peace and quiet of the location) easily makes up for this extra walking distance.

We paid for a superior room and truly had a very large room with a great location. The rooms are not intended to be ornate but they are well furnished. Styling of room tends to be more modern, furniture has straight lines. The staff of the hotel was excellent. We left our bags with the front desk for the day when we checked out with no problems. Breakfast was excellent. All organic, incredible quality. There was no hot food on buffet but there was a sign could request eggs to order; with all the great food out we did not do so. We would happily return and stay again.

The location is on the outer edge of walking distance from main train station if you have bags; basically a 15 minute walk. Probably would take taxi or bus next time unless travelling lightly. You are in shadow of beautiful mountain line but main city center is a 10-15 minute walk.

It is a very comfortable hotel, at side of road, but quit. Close to old town, it is only 15 min walking to there through a shopping streat. The kid CDs and toys, baby drawing paper are supplied. My child was very happy.

Our whole family loved this hotel. We were here from 23-27 December. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the local grocery store (spar); 10 minute walk to shopping (on the hotel side of the river) and 15 minutes to downtown (other side of the river / shopping / churches / etc). The hotel is clean and well decorated and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast offered a lovely variety and they will also make coffee, eggs and meat to order (free). For parents with young children, make sure you get the hot chocolate for the kids. It was excellent even by adult standards! We stayed in the villa with my sister and our rooms were spacious and wonderful. The rooms were renovated 2 years ago. The kids slept on a pull out couch which was roomy and comfortable. The shower in the family room was awesome! It had 2 shower heads plus a rain shower head. Very luxurious. The kids loved the chocolate on our pillow each day. We were there for christmas and the hotel offered a "tree lighting" in the lobby on christmas eve evening. The staff lit the real candles on the tree, offered a few light snacks (nuts, cookies, prosecco for adults and juice for children, breadsticks, etc.), we sang silent night together and then they handed out a present to each room. It was so nice! We got a small wooden nutcracker and my sister got a cute portable silk shopping bag. We took 2 tours through panorama and they picked us up each morning at our hotel. They returned us to mirabell area which was only a 10 minute walk back to the hotel. Not bad at all. We would definitely stay here again. We would highly recommend the Auersperg and loved the staff, rooms, and location. Perfect all around!

Hotel well located, well designed, beautifully decorated and clean. Hotel facilities adequate for a city break or long weekend. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. All in all, a perfect hotel for a visit to Salzburg.

Excellent service staff. The breakfast was great, wide variety of healthy and natural/bio food, all fresh. We had a family room, which was very spacious and very well designed. Good location, easy access to downtown.

Our room was on the ground floor, it was little bit noisy since the isolation of the windows were not the best. If the curtain would be a real dark curtain, could isolate some noise and also keep light out in the morning.
