Lovely hotel couldn't fault it! Beautiful setting, lovely rooms, excellent breakfast table and brilliant hosts. Wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in Salzburg.
Incredibly friendly and helpful lady at the front reception. We arrived late, but still received a great welcome. Great facilities, comfy bed, incredible balcony. Very short walk into the heart of Salzburg.
The hosts were friendly and helpful and the Hotel setting was beautiful. The room was clean and comfortable.
We absolutely lOved our stay at Haus Arenberg! The ownersL, Helmut and Gabrielle, are very gracious in providing a home away from home ambience! The location is a beautiful 15 minute walk from the old town. We loved getting away from the touristy center; especially for the stunning balcony views we woke up to. The breakfast buffet was delicious with homemade pastries and eggs cooked to taste. You will not be disappointed! We will definitely go back!!!! Viele Danke, Helmut und Gabrielle- alles zehr gut!!!!! Everything was perfect:)
Close to the city, but very comfortable and quiet. Very kind host.
Comfortable, quiet, and clean room.Location was within walking distance to attractions. Wonderful breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff.
We liked everything about our stay and would recommend the Haus Arenberg to others.
Proximity to the centre and the helpful staff
Poor book keeping very slow with the bill and trouble with the internet connection and cards
Good hosts and nice room
A bit far away without a car and the bathroom toilet was very small
Helmut and Gabriella are warm, gracious hotel owners, that have created a wonderful ambience. Everyone is welcomed like family and the breakfast is delicious, with homemade breads, pastries, salmon, cereals, andeggsto order. Thank you so much Helmut and Gabriella, for making our 4 night stay so terrific. We loved being away from the touristy city center- the pretty 15 mi ute walk, was welcomed everyday.
Breathtaking location in the middle of the nature, yet close to the heart of the city. Wonderful view to the mountains. The hotel itself is a beautiful edifice, very nicely furnished and having a really cozy ambience and also a dream garden full of trees and flowers. The room was excellent, with a maximum of comfort and cleanliness and a beautiful balcony suitable for any weather. Breakfast was copious , nothing was missing, it fulfilled anyone's taste. Free WiFi in the room. The owners are incredibly nice people, everybody loves them. We'll definitely come here again.
There is nothing not to like. Our stay was too short.
Location and breakfast was A1 rooms very clean and modern staff were very good ,friendly and helpful ,new everything about Salzburg .The own was a very nice lady . very quiet location with great views of the mountains
Quiet place, green zone, not far from center, to wifi provider, nice breakfast (mind that for omlet you need to ask personel, so they can bring it hot), nice interior, lot's off TV chanels, nice garden
Kind staff, good breakfast.
rooms there are in the basement
The hotel was good as a building but its hard to reach if you dont have a car ,
The Wifi was not connecting at hotel rooms, we stayed one night and then she told us sorry you cant stay more in this room because I made a mistake and there is someone who is coming tomorrow for it, I said why I already booked it for 4 nights, she told us if u wanna stay u must pay more to get 1 double room and 1 single room , our room was triple :) Then she told us that we had to find another hotel !!!!!!!!!! So bad and so dissapointed ! One more thing, when we wanted to stay at the garden of the hotel her husband come and said please its private dont go there !
Close to old town with walking distance; Friendly staff; Good breakfast.
I loved the view around it and the quiet time one can have while staying in it. I also liked the buffet. It was nice
I hated the fact that it was far from everything. I had to walk for a long time if I wanted to get something from the supermarket. Also I didn't like that there was only one person working with the guest in the front desk; if I needed anything I had to wait sometime for the lady to finish with the guests. I think there must be more than one receptionist so that people don't waste their time waiting.
Everything is OK!
We have just arrived back from a 5 night stay at Haus Arenberg. Staff all exceptional. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Beds comfy and pillows to die for. We had a room overlooking the mountains. Perfect. Would certainly stay again if revisiting the area. Thanks for the lovely stay. Keep up the good work. By the way the dog is lovely.
Kind staff, not too far from city center, good way for walking, clean room
Very small bathroom. No door in bathroom. Privacy was hard to be protected.
its like a home with really friendly people and amazing ambience. not too far from the city centre.
Haus Arenberg was a gem of a place to stay at.Good location, just outside of Salzburg and a genuine 20 minute stroll to the Old Town centre. The owner and her staff couldn't have been more helpful. Would thoroughly recommend this Hotel to anyone.
The friendliness of the staff, notably the owner - a very approachable person. The room had a balcony which was nice. Very traditional which made a change from modern hotels I was staying in on my trip. Breakfast time was great - lots on offer and the owner made cooked good for you too. Was offered tea and homemade cake later on in the day. Beautiful surroundings and a great garden.
First time getting there, it involved going up cobbled streets with a heavy suitcase to reach the place. Thereafter, it wasn't a problem - quite a quick stroll down into the old town.
for me it was not a problem, but to reach downtown it need 15 minutes walking.
