Haus Strutzenberger  

Beautiful views from our own balcony. The location in the middle of the Austrian lake district made so much very accessible. The hosts made us feel very welcome from the time we made the booking and during our stay. The information provided after booking was both comprehensive and very helpful and made our stay more enjoyable. The hosts had thought of so much, from having DVDs and games for kids to play in the event of rain, to washing and ironing facilities to extra towels for swimming. They also had a better collection of brochures than many hotels we have stayed in. Excellent all round.

My children (20 and 15 years old) and I have been travelling for 2 weeks and seen a variety of hotels/hostels etc. Haus Strutzenberger is an oasis in desert with its home-like appearance and homely feel. I cannot emphasise how much this pension made use feel at home. We had a comfotable bedroom, toilet, separate dining and living areas and small kitchen, replete with everything you find at home. (For example - coffee maker, toaster, oven, cutlery, plates, English DVDs, English books and even a dishwasher) That night we had dinner in the pension and it was the most relaxed dinner we had since we started our trip. If you're looking for a warm and homely stay, I recommend Haus Strutzenberger. Laundry service is available at the pension itself.

The location. It's a bit far from the train/bus station. But not a problem because Linda and Trevor, owners of the pension do provide transport out to the bus or train stations in the morning. In the evening, you can either take a bus or taxi (6-8 Euro depending where you are in the town itself) back.

Very nice people, room is comfortable

Quiet place with fantastic panorama. The center of Bad Ischl is 10 mins walk. We had absolutely no problems, enjoyed our stay.

Clean appartment and very nice staff, very helpfull.

Room a bit noisy, we eared the guests running on the upper floor the complete evening.

Very good location, not too far from city center, but also very close to the nature. Staff/owners are quite kind and helpful.

Internet connection was useless in our room. Breakfast is ok, but you might get bored of it after two days, and also it can not be compared to a bufet style breakfast in a hotel.

Our family spent in the hotel lovely weekend. Hotel is very nice, very clean and comfortable. Location is perfect. Many thanks to the owners, Linda and Trevor could not have been more hospitable.

Very well equipped apartments, there's really nothing missing from what you normally need in a kitchen. It's even easy to find using the GPS ;)

La propietaria es encantadora, siempre dispuesta a ayudarte y darte indicaciones. Por suerte, tiene lavadora y secadora, que a nosotros nos fue muy bien. Tiene libros, juegos y videos a la disposición del cliente. En general muy muy bien. Thanks Linda for your kindness!!
