Nice style of the Austrian family house and good location near to the center of the town.

Excellent hotel, very harmful and friendly staff, really nice restaurant, high-standart bathroom... There was a little problem with parking, but the receptionist was ready to solve it. Just have to know that if one want to park his car during the daytime, he has to pay (up to 9 am it's free).

Nice hotel, and the hotel service is so nice. The hotel host is very kind. The location is also very nice. You can reach old town by walking easily.

the ancient design of the house ... amazing tradition, cozy and helpfull staff. near the city center & near the airport too :)

there is no elevator

Staff includes an Italian boy (the name is Alberto) very kind who gave us many suggestions also on the menu of the hotel restaurant. It was a pleasure to speak with him and to find an Italian member in the hotel staff!

Most of the staff I met there are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good. Room is quite spacious and comfort with a nice feeling of Austria tradition family! Good internet connection! They even have lots of rabbits in the small yard! So cute! And the staff provided me a bucket of potatos peels to feed those lovely creatures!

friendly staff, nice location, romantic hotel, even if the price was a bit expensive... Diner in the hotel was good and service also. I would recommand this hotel.

the cosiness,ambience and restaurant

We really enjoyed our stay at Haus Wartenburg. Food was excellent as well as the location and very comfortable atmosphere like staying in someone's home.

The whole entire feel of the pension was homey.. Beautiful room decor. Breakfast was excellent.. The staff was friendly and very helpful.. I wish we could have stayed longer..

The hotel staff was so helpful. I had a back problem and it was painful when I had to lie down on a soft mattress. The hotel receptionist arranged a special hard mattress for me. I was so impressed. The room was so nice and the hotel was in good location. I would recommend this place to my friends.

Staff at Haus Wartenberg were friendly, informative, and accommodating. Could not have asked for better service.

The friendly, warm atmosphere was fantastic. The hosts were very helpful and thoughtful. The location is very convenient with only a fifteen minute walk to the old city and a reliable frequent bus just a few minutes walk away. The building is old and full of character.

Very friendly owners/staff and great location for Salzburg old town

I wanted to give my family the feel of staying in an inn that has survived for hundreds of years I liked the look of quaint. The bathroom had been remodeled which was so welcome, that we could have a hot shower, and there was a blow dryer which is huge for me.

I feel the advertising was somewhat misleading. There was wifi, kind of. Had to move around the halls and was in and out. We had reserved 2 big rooms as that was all there was at he time the rooms were reserved.. When we arrived the owner wanted our big rooms so he could accomadate more people. So we took two smaller rooms. Only one had a tv, and we had to share the bathroom. We were offered free beer and or coffee but that was baloney.. The morning breakfast was scant, with cold coffee on the tables and no one to get fresh coffee, etc.. I was grateful for the cheaper rate,

Cozy and charming, Haus Wartenburg was just what I was looking for. We used a family room and it was good-sized and would have worked for an even larger group. The staff was helpful and friendly.

While the hotel may be 500 meters from Mirabell palace as the crow flies, it is about a 1/2 hour walk. Very doable, but farther than I expected. I think I'd rephrase that information.

This place is like an oasis!!! The house and gardens immediately make you relax as you walk inside and if there is any tension left Johannes (the King) and Heiko (Court Jester) remove it. Bathroom great, wifi great, meals good value and the house itself is a treasure trove of nooks and crannies and ornaments galore that make you feel like you're in your great grandmother's house. The front garden is beautiful with a big tree and capped off with a few rabbits in a run at the front to entertain the kids. Many places have masseurs, etc. to help you relax but this place has an ambience which really achieves this objective. Enjoy. .

The cost was good. The house is very old and thus not too modern but it has lots of charm. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The walk into old Salzburg was only about 15 mins.

The breakfast minimal compared to other hotels/inns stayed in.

The hotel staff were very friendly. Our room was spacious and comfortable for our family of 4. The location was very convenient for visiting the old town. There was not a huge choice for breakfast but what was provided was of a good quality. Overall extremely happy with our choice. Perfect for all our family needs.

The staff was very friendly & spoke English which was helpful to us. We had a family room and it was comfortable enough room for our small group.

The hotel was absolutely charming and looked like something out of a fairytale. Our room was spacious and my only complaint was that we didn't spend enough time at the hotel as we checked in late and left early the next morning.

The hotel itself is a little hard to locate and the sign is covered over with flowering vines. However, I had viewed photos of the hotel on the internet so we were able to figure it out with the help of a great GPS system in our rental car!

Unfortuantely managed to double book us and very quickly arrangled alternative accomodation for us in an apartment owned by the owner of the hotel. Was still in the process of being renovated so while not perfect suited our group's needs perfectly.

Excellent and friendly staff, 350 year old house, decorated in period Austrian classics, outdoor eating (or indoor). Safe neighborhood for kids and 15 minute walk to historic Salzburg. Very resonably priced if you dont need air conditioning, an elevator or a telephone. The place was great, the staff made it even better. They will do anything in their power to make you feel at home. The food was excellent. Dishes that go beyond your "typica" Austrian/German fair. Great wine and beer.
