Heimgartl is perfectly located on the bank of the River Inn with a wonderful view over to the city on the other side. It is just 15 minutes walk from the old city, 20 minutes walk from the railway station. Bus F runs from the airport to the railway station every 15 minutes. Bus D from/to the station via the city passes the hotel (100m walk to the bus stop) and runs every 30 mins. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Their service was outstanding. Although quite small, the room was spotlessly clean with modern decor. It had a balcony to sit on, overlooking the river and the city. There is some traffic noise at the front but this is compensated for by falling asleep to the sound of the river and the adjacent waterfall. If you don't want the noise, the soundproofed windows/doors are effective. Breakfast was served from 7.30 until 10am in the beautiful traditional Austrian dining room. There was copious choice.

Being a small hotel reception and the bar (for light snacks and drinks) is not available at all times - it seemed to close at 7pm. Access to the hotel rooms though is available at all times using a side door.

Friendly, laid back staff, nice breakfast and good value for money.

Romms were nice, warm and very clean. Staff were lovely.

Dissapointed that there was no bar or dining available other than breakfast (as we arrived in the evening)

We stayed at this hotel for the 2nd time and loved it again. Loved the view of the river, a cozy family atmosphere, and our beautiful room (happened to get the same room again!). Will stay there again! Thank you guys from a little Stephan's family :)

The breakfast selection could be better. It was 7euro and wasn't bad... But since the hotel is a bit aside from everything, we wouldn't mind to pay more for a more decent selection.

I didn't got the room with a window towards the river, which remained a regret for me. I also think the hotel need an elevator though my luggage is not very heavy.

Staff and owners were excellent. Service was great and they are really nice people. Wifi is good and breakfast was good also.

The doors let in a bit too much noise and the other people staying there were too loud in the hallways even just walking on the wooden floorboards and playing music. Room was a little small but only needs a redesign and would be fine.

Staff very friendly and speak good English, Rooms clean and pretty spacious, breakfast good and set in a beautiful old room. Only 10 - 15 mins from the old town and 5 mins from walking trails through the mountains and the cable car station, also has a water fall in the middle of the hotel.

Our room was very simple so it is important that guests do not expect anything too luxurious. Lacks curb appeal.

The hotel was good. The staff was helpful. The bed was comfortable and clean.

The view from my room was into the hill as a wall. So we couldnt see anything outside. But yes it makes it peaceful to sleep though. There was no soap or shampoo for a bath. But all this isnt a show stopper. Oweing to the location, an included breakfast option would have been better. Otherwise it costs 7 euros per head, which is affordable.

Staff were excellent, location excellent.nothing too much trouble for the staff.

Beds were two singles pushed together as one double.

Its only a transit for one night but all was good.

Nice, airy, bright room with balcony overlooking the river. It was a pleasant walk into the centre using a footbridge over the river. Nice host who gave us a little presentation pack of jam made by the owner. A range of unusual jams at breakfast.

Really lovely friendly staff, couldn't do enough to help you. Basic room but very recently renovated bathroom was lovely. We had a room at the back of the hotel which was perfectly quiet (just the sound of a waterfall if you opened the window) but I suspect rooms at the front would suffer from traffic noise. Great breakfast. Good wifi. Would stay again for sure.

Nothing to complain about really but some people might find it a problem that the hotel is situated at 20 minutes walk from the town centre.

Nice staff. Clean, ok room, convenient distance to the city centre, both walking and by bus. On-site free parking.

Closed reception for some time, lack of eating options very close by.

Easy to go to tram and to center of city, super view from balcon, very good plays for parking.
