Open-air museums, galleries and artists’ studios invite to meet the region’s arts and culture scene. The baroque palaces of Eisenstadt, Halbturn and Kittsee testify to the region’s imperial history. Local museums such as the village museum in Mönchhof tell about daily life in an agrarian society. Esterházy Palace is the landmark of Eisenstadt, capital city of Burgenland, and the province’s most famous cultural sight. Halbturn Palace is famous for its various exhibitions.
