This family-run hotel enjoys a very quiet location in the centre of Matrei in East Tyrol, offering a perfect atmosphere for guests looking for an upscale 3-star hotel.

The ski area is only a few minutes away, and the ski bus stop is right in front of the hotel. Part of your dream holiday comes true with the individually designed rooms and apartments of this beautifully designed hotel. A large part of the hotel was reconstructed in 2007. As a national park hotel, the architects focused on wood and glass as building materials.

Relax in the new spa area after a wonderful day outside, and enjoy a view of mountains, pastures and villages. Sit by the fire and admire architectural features created with stone, clay, wood, and water, which were inspired by the surrounding landscape.

Highly sought-after by film directors who keep coming back, as Matrei offers them the ideal setting for their precise concepts. Film directors carrying scripts of famous movies, followed by well-known actors. Some of them stay at “the Hinteregger”. From now on maybe suitably in the old cinema.

Like love also cooking needs great passion. We work with our regional products with devotion. Home-made bread, fruits and vegetables from our own garden and meat from nature-orientated animal husbandry. All from our own farm. “Rooted to the soil” and traditional - this is our cuisine. No extravagances regarding the ingredients. Nothing is used that had to travel too far. Everything is still fresh. Nevertheless, the variety leaves nothing to be desired. Our chef is the director, fresh products are his actors, old pots his extras. Your job is to enjoy, relax and applaud.

匿名中高年カップルオランダ 2011年9月9日	De kamer in de nieuwbouw was erg mooi en ruim. De geheel glazen pui biedt een mooi uitzicht op de omgeving. Balkon was ook ruim. De sauna en ligweide waren voor ons het hoogtepunt van ons verblijf. Ondanks de ligging midden in Matrei, weinig geluidsoverlast. In eerste instantie hadden we een hotelappartement geboekt, maar die was te donker en te groot voor ons tweeën. Zonder problemen konden we een andere kamer uitzoeken en hebben we ook halfpension bijgeboekt. De bezetting van de receptie was waardeloos. We moesten altijd zelf iemand uit de keuken of het restaurant halen. Ook het afrekenen wordt gedaan door degene die in haar eentje het ontbijtgebeuren regelt. Het personeel is wel vriendelijk.
