Great common room and kitchen on the ground floor. Dorm rooms very comfortable and nice and quiet at night to sleep. Friendly and helpful staff available 24 hours a day.
A little bit away from the historic centre of Innsbruck (30 minute walk, but you could get the tram in), but great value considering other options in Innsbruck.
The bed was terrible and the pillow worse! It´s close to NOTHING!!! Not even a place where you can buy a bun and coffee. AND THE THEY DON´T SERVE BREAKFAST!!!! The same holiday we vacation ON the island of Venice , paid less than this place and had a excellent breakfast.
Location near train stn Fairly priced Clean rooms and kitchen Great common area Good place to meet fellow travellers Balcony
Could use fresh towels daily Loud street noise Great hostel !
Nice staff, good location.
Poor Cleaning ... we found used underwear in the closet. No elevator.
WiFi, clean bath, close to freeway.
Parking limited and not paved, slats on bed loose, strange noises from the outside--trucks' horns?
It's easy to reach by car and has free parking and the tram stop is really close. Unfortunetly, the last tram runs at 10pm. Had a single room and didn't expect much. The bed quality was fair and you don't hear the motorway with closed windows although it was only 20 metres from my window.
It has paper thin walls and doors, I heard a cellphone ringing from the floor below and you hear every gentle footstep in the hallway. As long as you sleep with earplugs or you are completely insensetive to noise it's not nuch of a dealbraker. The value is still good.
quiet, excellent mountain view, very basic, but clean rooms
blinking lamp in the bathroom, shower not strong enough, design, staff speaks better english than German (should be other way around)
- friendly staff - low prices for accommodation - well equipped kitchen with all accessories you would need to use - living room with free wifi
- maybe too far away from the city centre (about 20 minutes of walk)
Cheap Not so far from the center
Room was very clean. Free parking
Bed was terrible. Noisy corridors and stairwell. No laundry facilities. Loud droning sound every 20-30 minutes night and day.
- don't know..
- couldnt pay by card. Asked me to go back downtown to withdraw money...... speachless - location far away from city centre - 55 for a night, way too much !!! - check-in.... only 1 staff member, resulted in waiting for 30 mns. After a tiring day. better find another place to stay..!
The staff were very helpful to me when I arrived with canceled reservation bcz of credit card problem .. they arranged for me a place to stay although it was fully booked ..clean rooms .. spectacular views and quite neighborhood
guest before me was smoking in the room, so I smelled it for two days - annoying
great location - easy to find. From train station take tram #3 Amras then walk 2 blocks. Ask driver for stop. Clean - helpful - great wifi- really really nice beds and mixed dorm rooms. Each bed has an electric plug and nice lockers.
Nothing - it was just great! I am not a super fan of mixed dorms but the rooms are large and the beds are great. It felt very private and safe.
the view from room number nine, the dorms, is amazing! ( you can even you can see the mountains from the bathroom!). The stuff were all very helpful, kind and friendly. The kitchen was well equipped. Very good value for what I got.
i really did not like that it is located really far from the city centre and you need to take the tram or walk half an hour. No personal keys for the dorm room. Wifi only in the common room near the kitchen. No elevator.
Nice and good educated staff, nice,Clean rooms and price for what you get. Closeby bus station and Mpreis +-5 min walking
no Wifi in the room, there were not alot of parking spaces in front of the hostel
Since it's a Hostel, very international, lot's of young people
I've been there more than once, always in single rooms. As previous reviewers mentioned there is a constant noise. You can hear everything, but the worst thing is that the water pipes make a honking type of noise every 2 minutes, very loud. The rooms are clean but old, I experienced that there was only cold water a couple of times. Bed sheets have to be changed by the guests when they are leaving, there is no cleaning service. Staff is rather inexperienced, did not speak German Sometimes "private" bathroom does not mean private at all (see other comments) Bed Bugs (not really a surprise) If you remove the bed sheets there is a lot of dirt everywhere, also in the furniture, not really clean
Very friendly and helpful staff. Had a lot of useful tips and information about the city. 24 hour reception Parking right outside the hostel. 15 minutes walk to the centre Great view. Quiet area. Comfortable bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen.
Nothing really but if I had to mention something, I'd say not having wifi in the rooms and not having a washing machine in the premises. but wasn't a problem really
Very clean Nice bathroom 24/7 staff at reception Very nice and helpfull staff There is a common room where there are computers with internet you can use Good location, close to trams that go any place in the city you want (in general I found the Innsbruck public transport system very well organized). Also, there are few places you can eat at 5 minutes walk with really good food, and a supermarket.
There was no heating in rooms in the weekend we went (altough, they said that starting with middle of october there will be) and considering it's a mountain area, it was kind of cold.
- English speaking staff - Clean room
- City centre is a 30 min walk/ 15 min journey by tram
The staff were nice and its worth of the money.
Very friendly staff, spacious room, very clean.
Hard to control the shower temperature. A little bit far from center, but close to the train station.
Very student like accomodation
Expensive for type of accomodation
Hostel Marmota had very friendly staff, rooms were good, plenty of space, Free Internet, great Kitchen + communal rooms, close to transport into Innsbruck, overall a very pleasant Hostel with great views.
The only thing was lots of steps to get up to the room, apart from that nothing really.
calm, clean, efficient and nice staff, and for me, close to the Ambras castle that I intended to visit. A very good atmosphere, I heard lots of laughing and fun.
to buy food one has to walk 10 min, but well, that is ok. For party people maybe a little far from the center, but I heard there was fun on the spot!
