Enjoying a prime location in the middle of Vienna, this hotel at the Schwedenplatz metro hub is an 8-minute walk from St. Stephen's Cathedral. It offers soundproofed rooms with free Wi-Fi.
Score from 1015 reviews Very good
Alma Boutique-Hotel is in a small, quiet alley behind the bustling Schwedenplatz Square, decorated with a touch of Viennese Art Nouveau.
Score from 507 reviews Very good
Hotel Austria is located in the very heart of Vienna, just a short walk from the major sights of the historic city, such as St. Stephen's Cathedral.
Score from 996 reviews Wonderful
Just steps from the Nestroyplatz Underground Station, Das Capri is 2 stops from Saint Stephen’s Cathedral in the center of Vienna. The Prater Amusement Park is a 10-minute walk away.

Art Noveau Location
Room too hot, stuffy, no natural light, no aircon. Had to open windows, then too noisy and staff smoking outside, it smelt in my room. No minibar. Not much atmosphere.
Breakfast ,decor, elevator, outside terrace working wifi and available computer .
the location of the hotel, the staff
Staff were polite friendly and well and truly met our requests e.g booked a day tour for us at 6am for that particular day. We had just arrived at the hotel after a 28 hour flight. It was a wonderful start to our travels!
Nothing - everything was perfect.
Excellent location, beautifully and sensitively restored, excellent breakfasts, very friendly and helpful staff.
Squeaky floor but this was a very small issue
Location is perfect-close to where the action is and only minutes of easy walk. Hotel is clean and staff is helpful. All the conveniences you'd hope for in this price range. Will definitely stay here again.
Not very sound proof but few hotels in Vienna are.
Great location. Helpful staff. Comfortable
Room was a bit cramped
Excellent Location that is close to all the Tourist Attractions in the city and which has a number of great shops and very reasonable restaurants within walking distance. We would highly recommend it.
Excellent location right in the centre, with loads of character. We had a suite which was a really good size, beautifully decorated and great for a family with children. Excellent buffet breakfast.
No tea/coffee making facilities in the room and no air conditioning (although fans were provided). These were not big issues for us although might be for some.
Charming boutique hotel in an excellent location at the end of a quiet street. Staff was very friendly, room was clean and cosy and breakfast was very good. A lovely place to stay!
The room (large double) was spacious, with no noise from the city even with the windows open. Staff were helpful without being pushy
Soap dispensers at the basin and bath
beautiful, quiet hotel with comfy beds and great breakfast. very nice staff.
water in shower went hot and cold.
The men's choir filing out of some pub at 3am
The hotel is very well located for walking directly in the city center, but this is the only positive to remark.
At arrival we realized that we have a room with separated beds. The receptionist tried to convince me that I am the responsible and they cannot ensure "FOR this PRICE" the double bed. In my opinion if the hotel considers that booking.com prices are too low, they should not be present on the site! The next night a very noisy group arrived after midnight and made high noise. Globally the isolation of the rooms is very poor, we could not close correctly the window and the street noise came in as well. The cleaning lady started vacuum-cleaning at 8.30 next to our door. Very crowdy morning at the breakfast room.
Great location; friendly and very helpful staff; very clean; good breakfast buffet !
no AC and no fridge in the room was not up to my expectations for this kind of hotel. Otherwise, everything was fine.
Easily walkable to St. Stephan's Cathedral and other major tourist attractions in Central Vienna. Subway stations (Schwedenplatz and Stephansplatz) are nearby, too. Staff were nice and approachable. The building looked quite old, and our room was fairly small, but the interior was very clean. It got a bit warm in our room, but there was an electric fan in our room, which was of great help.
The size of the room. As the person with whom I travel monopolizes the desk, it was good to have two chairs at the foot of the bed and a table between for my stuff. The bedside shelves are good too. The shower was good and the bathroom was sparkling clean.
Travelers should be advised that there is no air conditioning. It can be a bit close on hot days, but in the heat of August when we stayed there, it cooled down into the sixties at night so sleeping was pleasant. Myself, I would stay there again anyway.
Very good location. Easy to get to everywhere by foot or by 3 subways around. The staffs are very nice and helpful. Breakfast does not have many choices but adequate, the waitresses there are very good.
We booked the suite with air conditioning. It is on the top floor. The windows are too high up and no views at all. The bathroom is bit too small regard to the suite. And there is no bathing facilities and no slippers etc.
- location - staff - phenomenal breakfast - building character - amenities such as a lovely rooftop deck, magnifying mirror in bathroom, fans in room, umbrellas for loan.
- Room 101 overlooked the back and smoke filtered into the room from people below - Room 207 was functional but not as characteristic as room 101
Everything was just great! The roof terrace was wonderful.
No air conditioner in bathrooms - this means that bathroom windows are open and you hear everything.
The service. The courtesy. The location. The exquisite decor!!! The staff was so helpful. I was offered an umbrella, adaptor (after leaving mine on train)
- Ideal location, beds very comfortable, staff helpful, good breakfast. - Reception was extremely helpful with map and explanation of local tourist destinations.
- No tea coffee making facilities available in the room.
The staff, the location and the decor of the hotel were excellent.I particularly liked the lift and the roof terrace.
I understand in an old building air conditioning is not possible, however there should be an investment in modern silent fans which are better at cooling the room.E.g Dyson
Charming breakfast, clean rooms, helpfull staff. Feeling of luxury in the rooms by the sober but stylist decoration.
Location, Price, Service, Breakfast were all Excellent
Rooms have no AC. Tradeoff was worth it given the vlaue, but no AC in Vienna in July is a bit warm for sleeping
